Welcome to a Halloween in Cricket where “rest in peace” is more of a guideline than a rule.

I thought Halloween couldn’t get more thrilling than racing a homemade casket with my three best friends down Frog Street. But holy witches, was I ever wrong! When we awaken the ghost of Carrie Ann Stocker, things take a supernatural nosedive. Instead of dealing with spooked trick-or-treaters, we’ve got a vengeful spirit hot on our tail.

Nothing like a wily ghost to ruin the fun of a coffin derby.

As if the undead drama isn’t enough, I’m doing everything I can to keep our best-friend status intact when the pulsating heat between us just might burn down Carrie Ann’s favorite haunt.

With Vince flashing his devilish grin every chance he gets and Freddie “accidentally” brushing his hard body against mine, and Bram giving me looks that should be illegal, this night’s way more charged than a single’s bar on New Year’s Eve.

Is what we’re feeling for each other real, or is it just a wicked prank brought on by a randy ghost?

A Little Spooky is a sizzling stand-alone, small-town, Friends-To-Lovers Reverse Harem NOVELLA. This book is written with a touch of humor and plenty of heat that just might melt your Kindle. As with all my books, a HEA is always guaranteed… Thanks for reading!

initial thoughts

I’ve been on the hunt for some spooky reads, so I was immediately intrigued. Based on the cover, I thought it was going to just be a cozy, fluffy read, but it actually had a couple parts that were somewhat creepy!

main thoughts

I enjoyed this novella quite a bit. I wish it had been a full-length novel so the story could’ve been fleshed out a bit more, but I also haven’t read any of the other books written by this author. So maybe these characters made appearances in previous books, I’m not sure.

In any event, this was a short, super steamy, slightly creepy book that I ended up enjoying a lot more than I thought I would. I loved all the characters, their dialogue and flirting, the atmosphere–it was just a super fun read! Like I said, the only thing I didn’t like about it was it was too short, lol. I want an entire novel! But maybe I’m just greedy 😛

bullet points

  • a couple of voyeuristic ghosts was an interesting addition that I didn’t anticipate lol
  • I love the friendship these four have. The escalation from friends to lovers seemed natural and I enjoyed that aspect.
  • if you’re a fan of dirty talk, you’re going to love these MMCs!

final thoughts

This is a perfect novella for the season! If you’re looking for a quick, fun, and steamy read with major creepy vibes, then you definitely need to read this one 🙂
