This story starts to flesh out more with chapters from Steele’s point of view. We get to know the boys better and the spice heats up 🔥 🔥 🔥. Three down one to go 😉.

We get a bit more info on the mysterious brotherhood but there is still so much to learn.

The ending of the book is shattering for Peyton and Steele. Hopefully some retribution will be coming their way. Her dad deserves a prolonged painful death to say the very least.

Onto book three 😈💀🖤

Have you ever finished a book and just sat there and thought about everything you just read. Replayed the story over and over in your head? Thought about where it could go, thought about where it went? Well this book certainly did that for me. I am shocked to my core, sad, happy, the book literally gave me all the feels. I’m left with my jaw wide open, tears in my eyes, but so overjoyed I got to read this book. I needed it so badly. After devouring book one, and re-reading it multiple times, patiently waiting for this story to continue let me tell you, it certainly did not disappoint!!!

So much awesomeness and craziness happened in this story. Peyton and her incredible crew, Colton, Tyler, Steele and Hawke are all back and bringing the steam, the fun and causing a ruckus! So awesome! Colton is in rare protective form! He isn’t holding back when it comes to his feeling for Peyton. I’m a Tyler girl myself, but this book made me open my eyes to Colton and all his hotness, I might have to be a now #whychoose girl, because first, Colton blew me away and Second, Steele too look out for Steele, dude had me on the edge of my seat the last 30% of the book. Tyler and Hawke’s scenes together too, I need more of that asap please next book! I mean it when I say, I’m fanning myself over here, holy hotness! And we can’t forget the incredible step sister/best friend Capri, I love this girl so much.

So many questions where answered. So many new players came to destroy, and yet left so many new questions, questions that are keeping me up, wanting/needing the answers too. I loved this book so much. There are so many twists and turns the way the story goes. So many great highs and so many really low, lows. I mean it when I say, I cried. So buckle up, get ready and enjoy. I loved where this story went and where it is leading to go. I have multiple theories, needing to know more about the Brotherhood, what is Dylan up to and where will the story go next! Eeekk, I can’t wait to see what is to come! A must devour of a read. I read it in less than a day and will be re-reading for sure!

I absolutely loved Corrupt Temptation and have been waiting on this one and it was everything I wanted and more. This one everything went to another level.. the action, the steam 🔥🔥🔥

The tension between Peyton and the guys is 🤌 🤌 Colton has ZERO boundaries and I am here for it. He's a alphahole and I love it! Hawke and Tyler are perfect and cannot wait to see them and Peyton together. My baby Steele 😭😭 he's so broody and gives me whiplash and he's just *sigh*

Coming into this one, I didn't know what to expect, especially after the last cliffhanger. This book has dark moments and heed the triggers.

I do not accept those last couple chapters. I am heartbroken and fix it. FIIIIIIIX IT!! 😭😭 With that being said, this series is definitely a favorite and I can't wait for the next one!!

Twisty romantic suspense

Resuming from book 1, the turmoil continues with Peyton, the secrets build, and more intricacies of the plot develop. Loving the stronger relationship with Colton and Tyler and dealings with Steele and Hawke and the characters overall. The introduction of multiple points of view was welcome, giving more insight, and frankly more depth to the storyline where a lot still feels unknown.

Plot progression is medium to fast, which I am fan of, but the formula of more complexity rather plot progression left me unfulfilled, especially now at book 2. I was sorely missing more spice in this reverse harem, even with the attractions strong. I personally did not find the story dark.

Overall, hoping for more in book 3 with these alpha bad boys.

Melinda wasn't playing around with her warnings for this book. Things jump off right away from the ending of book one, and it's not pretty. I don't know how she does it, but Peyton is a strong leading lady for all the horrible things she keeps getting caught up in. With all that said I throughly enjoyed this book. I'm rooting for Peyton and the guys. That ending got me, and I'm so so so ready for book 3. 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

I’ve been waiting for this book since I read book 1, I was so impatient for it that I literally read it in a few hours.

I had so many questions after reading book 1 and this book answered a couple but it also gave me way more.

Savage Lies is book 2 in Melinda Terranova’s Savage Kings of St. Ivory series.

Peyton and the guys are still doing the push and pull thing. Colton, Hawke and Tyler all openly admit they want her but Steele is still being a pain in the ass 🤣

Peyton has lived through some dark times but she is still soldiering on and trying to live her life.

Capri is #bestestbestfriend goals and I love her

Now to try to wait patiently for the next book!

We’re thrown right back in to the action in this book following the cliffhanger book 1 left us on and I was along for the whole ride!

Peyton goes through a lot in this book from the get go and I am honestly in a bit of awe at her strength, I have a feeling after the ending especially that she is going to need those closest to her — them being her guys and Capri — around her more than ever to get her through the events that happened, which left me in tears, don’t ignore the authors note about the trigger warnings, it’s there for a reason.

Now the guys, oh Colton, Steele, Hawke and Tyler how I love these alphaholes. I absolutely was so here for Colton being outwardly open to everyone about his feelings for Peyton and that whilst he’s sharing her with his best friends she’s very much his, so no one better hurt her, including them. I loved how much closer her and Tyler got especially and I’m looking forward to more Hawke, I’m hoping for some sandwich scenes if you get my drift. Then there’s Steele, who we get his POV along with Peyton’s in this book, I wanted to shake him at times but I definitely think he’s going to be different now after that ending.

This book has left me with more questions to the Brotherhood and other secrets and lies than ever before, I’m looking forward to Tainted Promises to hopefully get some more answers, although I’m sure I’ll be left with more questions as well!

This book has already started off better than book one because we have another point of view other than the female main character and it was great. Finally, we are in the head of one of the guys and I am greedy for more. I need to know what is going on in their minds. I need to know what they are thinking, their motivations and just all about them.

The character development, progression of the plot and even the writing improved in this novel. I found things flowed better and background information was provided so we could understand things more.

Of course, we didn’t learn as much as I wanted to but background into the female main character’s life and different organizations within the book were explored. We were introduced to more characters and even learned the significance of characters that had already been introduced. There’s a lot more going on in the series than what is being shown on the surface and I’m enjoying how the author is adding layer upon layer to the story.

The final few chapters were a rollercoaster of emotions and just when I thought something was going to happen one way, the author threw in a bit of a twist that may be a trigger warning for some. I’m interested to see how the characters change and grow from what had just occurred. I think it’s going lead to a turning point in the story and I can’t wait to see how the author plays with these characters.

”You’re such a filthy fucking girl who gets off on pain, aren’t you?”

For such a short book (under 200 pages) a lot happened. We finally got POV chapters from one the guys- Steele. And while Peyton was able to explore her relationship with Tyler (who I ❤️ btw) the building tension between her and Steele comes to a amazing climax 😏🥵

This book was definitely MUCH darker and I came away with a much better understanding of both Peyton and Steele. But I still have so many questions, because just as quickly as we got answers to some secrets, new ones popped up.

As with the first book, the pacing was a little off and this could have been longer to help the plot go a little deeper, but I still enjoyed it and can’t wait to start the next one.💯

The best parts of book one, the single POV and all the HS related scenes, were nonexistent here. It’s just another secret society RH that’s trying to be dark but it’s just gore and violence and shock value. There’s a specific complexity, mood and tone that is needed for a dark romance to really work and this book does have it. No where near it. It’s a bummer because she did a good job capturing and exuding emotion in the light and fun scenes. The characters are charming and likable there. She has not been able to do that in the dark scenes. Their actions just feel so forced and not genuine and when you have blood play, cutting, rape, torture, etc etc it needs to be impactful otherwise what’s the fucking point?!?

With the addition of Steele’s intermittent POV throughout this novel, we’re able to learn a smidge - and I do mean a smidge – more about the Brotherhood and what the boys are facing behind closed doors. We also learn a minute amount more about Peyton’s dad and a portion of the story on how she got caught up in becoming sexually exploited. Steele’s POV added some much-needed flow and depth to the story. However, while I certainly appreciated the answers/explanations we did receive (because Lord knows, we needed them), the mystery that all of this information is set up as and how there is so little light shown on any of the world-building elements is secretive and dramatic without a good reason as to why. The author is using the drama that this is creating as a huge crutch to carry her story forward instead of building a compelling plot. It was tiring by the end of the first novel, but its lost me completely by the end of the second.

The characters became a little bit more fleshed out throughout this novel, but I don’t think it was enough. For example, Colton and Peyton’s relationship together seems to be progressing nicely. The only problem with that is there doesn’t seem to be much of a reason for it. They’re not spending time together, getting to know one another, or doing anything that would build that foundation. They seemed to have bounded forward blindly, which is unrealistic and unbelievable.

I did like Peyton’s relationship with Tyler a bit more – at least their progression made more sense. Steele and Peyton are still on uneven footing and, while I wasn’t upset that the spice kicked up between the two, they continue to have a lot to get sorted out. Hawke and Peyton’s relationship hasn't yet progressed very far – and we haven't seen anything group related - so that might be nice to see more of throughout the rest of the series.

However, one of the character relationships I hated as we open the pages of this novel was Peyton’s relationship with Dylan. Not only did it seem complicated, but when Dylan drags Peyton back to the Toy Box, there is an underlying impression that Dylan may not be able to protect Peyton from everything, but he won’t let her be sexually abused again. And yet, as soon as there was an opportunity, Dylan seems to disappear, leaving Peyton vulnerable to the whims of her intended rapist and abuser. Not only did this entire encounter seem brushed over fairly quickly, but Peyton’s resigned attitude throughout the beginning was aggravating to watch. How many times did we hear that Peyton “wouldn’t let them break her” and yet the fight that she put up when she was in that situation was flimsy at best. She was broken, whether she wanted to admit to it or not. The fact that Colton swoops in at the last minute to save the day without being seen or killing/hurting anyone in the heart of enemy territory was also a bit laughable. Nothing about this seemed plausible.

There were a lot of plot holes within the first novel and that trend doesn’t stop after having read book #2. Some if it was forgivable because these novels felt like they had potential. What started out as intriguing with a whole lot of mystery and a dash of darkness has quickly grown tedious. What information is revealed (like Colton’s sudden outpouring) seemed questionable or we skip over all of the unanswered questions like they don’t exist at all. We’re told to “go with it” and that it’ll be “worth it in the end” by the author, but at this point, I simply don’t trust that that’s true.

This book was terribly unfulfilling. It also doesn’t help that it was only 192 pages long, making the story very short and cutting the legs out from under it, in my opinion. It wasn’t that I disliked it in its entirety, but the cons really started to add up and I don’t think it’s worth it to continue the series.

We are back at St Ivy and Peyton is going through some harrowing experiences and she is still a badass. Colton, Steele, Tyler, and Hawke are still making her crazy just in a different way. Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing Book. This book leaves you with more questions than answers but I couldn’t put it down read it six hours. This is book 2 and I’m already dying to read the next book. Check trigger warning. I love the characters development

The Book Where Steele, Finally Signs Up To The Peyton Murdoch Fan Club

In this second book in the series, the author has chosen to tell it from the POV of Steele as well as Peyton.

Why Steele?

Well, that becomes apparent further into the story we go.

The war is still on between secret society -v- secret society
The Brotherhood Of Skulls -v- The Black Grove crew and Dev ( Devil)

Peyton and her “boys” are right in the thick of it all.

BUT!

DON’T STESS!

Because, dear readers they always Miraculously come out on top.

They are able to out THINK, out SMART, AND! ( apparently) teleport from Switzerland?…Huh!

But I’m getting ahead of my self

First things first.

As rival Evil Groups go to war, Peyton is all about going to school, and going to parties.

(This girl never met a party she didn’t like. And Capri,or Tyler seem to always be involved in one.)

There are a LOT of parties in this book, because we ALL KNOW that where all the S*** goes down.

And when she’s not doing the above, Peyton is DOING the guys.

She’s a needy thirsty B’ throughout most of this book…and “she likes it”…Ugh!

Peyton can now add surf sex with Tyler to her l lust list.

Plus!

The odd are in her favour for a threesome with Hawke, as these guys are all down for it,.
And you know the author is just desperate to scratch THAT itch.

In fact…. I would not be the least bit surprised if Peyton is having ALL her holes filled up by these guys, ALL AT ONCE before this series is done

She’s such a dirty, needy B’ who can’t keep her hands or eyes off the guys.

Of Course we already know that Peyton has a thing for rough, multiple partner sex, having survived the “Toy Box” from a young age, sexually she doesn’t know it any other way.

Having read the first book in the series, I had hoped that the author would have learnt from some of the more implausible scenarios that took place in THAT book wouldn’t be repeated.

Well, that thought didn’t last long as, once again we had Colton to the rescue just as things looked particularly dire for Peyton/Blue.

And This speech by Colton to Peyton just cracked me UP!

“We’re a secret society that has influence and power. Our connections reach as far as presidents and world leaders. We do terrible things to terrible people.”

But the BEST most hilarious implausible moment happened towards the end of the book.

We find Peyton near death bleeding out, on the bathroom floor, at the shopping mall only to be rescued from near death by…Tah Dah!

Steele.!!!

Who ( he hinted) must have had some kind of intell, that S*** was about to go down.
Not only arriving from Switzerland in the nick of time, BUT, also new where Peyton was?

Let’s be clear.

SHE WAS IN A SHOPPING MALL!

IN A RANDOM BATHROOM!

Have your ever tried to find anyone in a Shopping Mall??

Now.

Considering there wasn’t supposed to have been ANY bonemen watching Peyton , Just how is the author going to unravel this story leap of unbelievability?

This whole scenario NOW explains why we were given a glimpse into Steele’s life/ thoughts throughout this book.

Because ( Spoilers) he ends up impregnating Peyton, only to have her lose the baby in a scene the was brutal, to say the least.

What a better way to bring the moody, surly, boy bad, psycho into the fold, and onboard with the whole “ Let’s share Peyton” and be a big bad F’d up family, than to have drama surround them.

So by the end we get the soppy epilogue with Steele now a fully fledged, paid up member of the “Peyton Murdoch” fan club.
Despite what her evil POS father did to his family.

Oh GOD!

Now we are going to get all the guys bonding over their sexual exploits with Peyton aren’t we…S****!

And all the wiggling eyebrows, smirks and winks, from the perpetually, always happy, peppy Capri.

GROAN!
Can I STAND to red another…

Quote(s): "His vicious gaze met my jealous rage." “The only truth I will tell you is if anyone lays a fucking finger on you, I will personally gut them and feed their innards to their dog.”

Okay, so where to start. Although I was disappointed with the first book, this one had such good reviews and I thought I would try it. I don't know much about this author so maybe it was first book jitters with the first but this one is better but still bad.

Readers join Peyton as she gets ready to go back to the 'Toy Box' to which she was sold into by her father. She is relatively okay about going there again and is just so resigned to her fate. Not believable, thank you. Plus, Dylan who she has always known and who has said she'll be under his protection, just happens to disappear the moment she needs him. She is then persuaded that she needs to cooperate in order to save a classmate she is close to and so more unquestionable things are done to her. Never fear though, for suddenly Colton appears to rescue her, on his own without raising any sort of alarm and gets her out the same way. It's never questioned later on either, when a revelation comes out about this classmate of how the awful man in the room with her even got the picture of said classmate in order to force her to comply.

The same happens in another part of the book. The guys are talking about Peyton's father being back on the scene and getting him to come out into the open to meet up with her but then nothing else is mentioned. Until, of course, her father suddenly corners her in a ladies bathroom of a store and beats her up to the point of unconsciousness. Once more though, she is suddenly saved by Steele this time who has suddenly arrived back from Switzerland and just knows where she is. The scene then moves on to the two of them getting tattoos that connect them to each other before he leaves to let her mourn the death of her baby. Yep, the baby that was conceived from the unprotected sex she had and never thought more of until the sudden influx of pregnancy symptoms.

This was the reason that Steele quickly flew back but how did he hear about it when they aren't reachable? Peyton had only told 2 people as well and they were sworn to secrecy so did one of the friends spill or are the guys just all knowing now. Peyton's father mentions that he has now used Capri to pay off his debt instead of Peyton but how was he able to kidnap her from a busy shop and then quickly and quietly return to beat up and stab his own daughter?

During a family meeting later on, where all family members are back, Colton and Peyton's relationship is outed. It is here, that my least favourite speech of any book happens. Colton has repeatedly told Peyton that he can't tell her anything about what he is involved in, but suddenly spills his guts in a cringeworthy tangent....

"We're a secret society that has influence and power. Our connections reach as far as presidents and word leaders. We do terrible things to terrible people".

No, just no! It's just about believable in a story when the mayor and the local police are in someone's pocket to allow them to commit the occasional crime. But presidents and world leaders! Come on!!

Now, although this book (and the first) has massive plot holes, errors and confusion, I do think the storyline could have been something great. It has a little of everything. Intrigue, protective friends/boyfriends, a dark background, and many traps being set for Peyton. I just don't believe it has been thought through clearly enough and that each new concept is just rushed through within a couple of pages. It's as if the author has all these ideas for her series and that she needs to use them quickly before she forgets them. I don't know, I may just be missing something because a lot of others seem to love these books.

For that reason, although I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone normally, I will this time just in case the struggle with them is just me. Lastly, again, because I didn't love this book, I will still read on to the next book. I'm in no way looking forward to it, I just feel I need to solve this confusion I seem to be feeling although I know that I am setting myself up for disappointment.

A definite must read!

Holy hell! If you thought the first book was a dark and tantalizing ride—you haven’t seen anything yet because Savage Lies, the second book in the Savage Kings of St. Ivy series by Melinda Terranova is fifty times hotter, darker and utterly savage! Seriously, there is so much amazingness packed into these pages, I don’t even know where to begin!

Our ferocious af heroine Peyton is still rolling with the punches that life keeps continuing to deal her, and thankfully keeps coming out stronger than ever. After the happenings in Corrupt Temptations,
Peyton and her guys are still running hot and sexy, with even more connections finally taking place—though some are taking a bit longer than others that’s for sure. But what more could a girl ask for? She’s got Colton with his super possessive and protective dominance, Tyler with his playfulness and suave surfing ways, Hawke silent but steadfast but when combined with Tyler? Holy hotness! And finally Steele…nothing but bloody powerful lust and madness. Their ride is definitely one worth watching, because when they come together? Melinda doesn’t hold back!

And of course the sisterhood between Peyton and Capri is most definitely true friendship goals! I love how no matter what they’re always there for each other and have each other's back—and after the huge cliffhanger that we’re given with this book, I can't wait to see what happens next!!!

I absolutely loved this book, but dreaded hitting 90% because you just knew that something big and tragic was going to happen that was going to leave you on the edge dying for answers and resolutions—and Melinda did NOT disappoint!! Because while yes, this book definitely cleared up some of the questions and confusion from book one, it also left us with so many more need to know questions. What’s up with Dylan and Eric, the mysterious secret societies and all the notes and of course who’s out to get Peyton and who the heck can she even trust because with friends and family like hers…who needs enemies!

Overall, there were so many suspenseful twists and turns, hidden secrets and betrayals and hints at mysteries just waiting to be revealed this book definitely took you on an emotional roller coaster of a ride. If you’re a fan of dark, taboo, secret society RH romances then this is a definite must read for you! And that ending?!? Utterly explosive!

This picks up with Payton back in her old home town ready to pay the consequences for killing the man who kidnapped and attacked her in boat harbour. Were not told his name, only he was one of Dev's biggest customers. For what....? We're not told.
Payton is doing some jobs in a club called the Toybox. All we really know is she's not meant to get hurt. Dylan promises her.

Needless to say things go really wrong, and somehow Colton is her Knight In shining armour and just in time to save her from a nightmare in a nightmare. He takes her back home and tenderly looks after her.
We don't see Dylan again. Can she trust him as much as she thinks?

We see an insight to Steele and he confesses his strong attraction to payton. I have to say, its not come across very much in the story so far...

As the book goes on we see more of Steeles pov which tbh helps alot - without this I wouldn't have believed his feelings for Payton.

Love the small insight into Hawke and Tyler's relationship. Wish there was more!

I have to say the ending was sad and I really hope payton gets her revenge and that she can come back from it.

It's still a little confusing tho. Things just seem to happen with no explanation or one comes much later.
Like, we finally find out why Maddie is around and why Payton doesn't see them all over each other.

But again. There's so many of these...
❓ Why do they have the Hunt? Why is this considered a gift? No reason and they can kill them with no explanation.
❓ what's in Switzerland?? Do they even go there?
❓ what is it Colton went away to do? He's not meant to be a teacher and he's pissed off about it...so what is he meant to be?
❓how did eli come to work with Dylan? What happened to him? Who is he??
❓ so who was it that caught payton and colton in the closet in the first book??
❓ when Myles left her alone with no protection at the end...why? Everyone knew she was in danger, it makes no logical sense to have her on her own.  I get it has to be done for her to be alone but it sheds a poor light on the characters intellect!
❓ what is it with the cards? In the first book Owen got one and he was gone. Payton keeps getting them with no real threat behind them, even when shown to Colton. The last one is without a skull- is this from a different person?
❓the epilogue gave a little too much away, so the cliffhanger wasn't so much a cliffhanger!

Review for books 1&2

I think Melinda Terranova broke me. Holy fucking cheese and crackers Batman! My brain is currently frozen, give me a few and come back like when your laptop freezes.

….Okay I think I’m ready. I cannot stress this enough, READ THE TW BEFORE PICKING UP THESE BOOKS! This series is dark as fuck and could really mess with your head if you aren’t prepared. That’s a lie, it’ll still fuck up your head & scramble your brain until you’re sitting there saying “yes sir” while dazed and confused even if you do go in prepared. It fucks you up in the most delicious ways tho and has you coming back for more.

Savage Kings of St. Ivy does have one of my major triggers. Lucky for me Melinda’s TW prepared me & I was able to be on the lookout and skip pages ahead when I had a feeling it was going that way. (Thank you Melinda for doing a TW!)

I’m going to be honest, don’t judge me, I fucking love this series. Every single dark and depraved second of it. I’m not usually a fan of blood and knife play but dayuuuumn those sex scenes were NEXT FUCKING LEVEL. I’m not sure what happened to me while reading these books but I’m not mad about it.

Like any dark romance Savage Kings of St. Ivy also rips your heart out and tears it into tiny pieces. There was no way to prepare myself for the the ending of book two. I started to get excited for what was stolen from Peyton at the last second and I will not forgive Melinda for that one. *glares* The absolute horror and heartbreak watching that scene unfold…well like I said these books mess you up.

Fuck me, my brain is starting to freeze again. Before I can’t think straight anymore I want to scream at y’all to go get this book! Okay, I’m done now, bye!

Melinda has created a dark duplicitous world in which the Kings of St Ivy rule more then just the school. They have the world at their finger tips and everyone is their pawn yet they are held hostage by one bright light. One girl has become their focus whilst some embrace their connection others fight it and in their struggle you will find a new addiction.

Peyton is an amazing character, she shows such strength, light and resilience even after everything she has endured. All her suffering is only a foundation for what is to come and this book ups the anti in ways you will not expect. Her growth amazes me, her ability to embrace today and all the positive opportunities make you fall in love with her.

The relationship development is brilliant, the tension at times is palpable and makes you want to scream. Colt gets a gold star for his efforts and everything he faces head on. Tyler is unbelievably sweet yet pantie melting hot at the same time. Hawk bless him is playing the long game but has shown how dedicated he really is. Steel well damn, he will make you scream in anger, shout for joy and shatter you. The relationships between Petton and the guys are absolutely pivotal and the strength of their bonds will hopefully see them through what is to come.

Melinda pulls out so many twists, turns and shocking surprises in this book that you won't be able to put it down. From love to the dark depths of depravity and back again it will grip your heart and shatter it.

Things are really heating up, blood will be spilt and secrets will rock all their worlds and I can't wait for book 3.

Damn, this series just keeps getting better and freaking better. There's more questions that keeps surfacing and not enough answers!!

Melinda Terranova has been doing one heck of an amazing job with the Savage Kings of St Ivy series and I just can't get enough. These boys are ruthless, charming, and downright drool worthy.

Payton certainly has her hands full with these four guys and I wouldn't mind being in her place with these four hot guys who will do anything to protect her and they hover over her at all times and give her their undivided attention .... I mean, who wouldn't want that right!

But there is so much danger, lies, betrayal and secrets entwined in this story, once it all unravels, will the boys still be able to keep Payton or will it destroy the bond they have slowly started creating with her and lose the trust they slowly started getting with her as well??

I am so in love with these characters including the supporting characters and I can't wait to get my hands on Tainted Promises, the next installment on this series!

5 SAVAGE STARS

Kill me NOW!!!! I can’t believe I have to wait a long time to get book three to this series. It seems like I’ll be waiting forever honestly. I just can’t get enough of these four gorgeous men like OMFG I love how comaning Colt is and how brooding and dark Steele is. They are my two favorite men in this series. As we go dive into book two I feel like there are more and more secrets that are being hidden and that need to be out in the open. The ones that have been revealed leave me astonished and in disbelief. The sexual tension that they all carry is unbelievable and leaves me wanting. As I kept reading I keep wondering what the heck happened to Steele that he keeps himself at a distance from Peyton and why when he gives in to his feelings for her he immediately regrets it. I know there is more to this story that needs to be uncovered but I’m just saying I don’t want to wait till June to get it because then ima die a slow death lol. Regardless, Melinda you are one great author and make me very angry and leaving me in suspense because I am going insane right now but yeesh lady you are one awesome writer. Thanks for another great book.

This is the second book in the Savage Kings of St Ivy series by Melinda Terranova. I wanted this second book to be a great addition to the first and I wasn't disappointed.

Check your trigger warnings for this one. It is dark and dangerous and violent. The Savage Kings are both brutal and scary but for Peyton, they might just burn down their whole world.

We get a lot more of Peyton's past and what she had gone through. It's a great insight into her character, despite her fears and pain she risks herself for those she loves. She puts her trust in Dylan and when it comes back to bit her the only thing that saves her is the guys.

Colton and Tyler have come to terms with what they feel for Peyton and Hawke is on board with the path he's on with her. Steele has the biggest issues with his feelings. He's drawn to Peyton but he finds it hard to let her in with what happened in his past.

The past isn't willing to let Peyton go though and despite the boy's best efforts, they can't keep her safe. But she will lose more than she ever thought. What's coming may just make them all stronger together.

Happy Reading.

Holy F! Mel came in hot with book two she told book 1 to hold her MFKN drink! Peyton has got to be one of my all time favorite leading ladies because for as much of f a baddie that she is she has a soft side and a vulnerable side that she doesn’t let too many people see because she is always waiting for the other shoe to drop. The guys are freaking amazing even Steele’s broody a$$ and not wanting to admit his feelings. Colton had me swooning hard for his possessive self! That man can get it!!! He!! All of them can get it all day long! While we get a few answers we are definitely left with more questions and I am trusting the process of our fearless leader I know she has a plan and I just need to be patient. Peyton was really put through it in this book my heart aches for her but her strength is beyond belief and with her BFF Capri who by the way is straight up goals and the guys by her side Peyton can get through anything and I have a feeling she is about to show up and show out in the next book which I will sit and patiently wait for! This series is a must read!

This book/series is one of my guilty pleasures; it's crazy, filthy and dark and I love it!

Even though it had been a while since I read the first book and I didn't do a reread, it was quite easy to get emerged in the story again. Probably because the first book left a lasting impression... If you're looking for answers to all your questions, you're gonna end up disappointed. Personally, I enjoy the way every answer comes with a new question and I believe this is a series that should be read twice: once as soon as every book is released and once when all books are out to see where we might have missed some clues.

This book isn't for the faint of heart; it is brutal, tough, dirty and filthy and Mel lets her characters suffer. But there is so much beauty in watching people heal together and put their broken pieces together to create something new. I absolutely floved the ending of this second book because of that. I think it's one of the most beautiful scenes I've read all year.

I can't get enough of this world Melinda has created!!

Ive been (im)patiently waiting for this book since I finished Corrupt Temptation and I absolutely DEVOURED Savage Lies!!

This is book 2 in the series and it left me with some of my questions answered, but now i have even more! And that cliffhanger, ugh my heart!!

Peyton has been through so much, but she doesnt let it hold her back and she is still kicking ass and taking names.

Steele is still playing like he doesn't want our girl Peyton, but Hawke, Tyler and Colton have made their feelings VERY clear. Good Lord these men are FINE!! My crazy, sexy Steele will pull his head out of his butt eventually 😉😉

Capri has amazing taste in books(IYKYK) and i wish she was my sister/best friend!!

Basically, this book is EPIC and Melinda absolutely smashed it!! I will just be over here crying and counting down the days to book 3 😂 Bravo to you Melinda!!! 😘😘😘

I love Peyton and her guys even if they’re a bunch of asshats but sexy lol

Melinda thanks for being patient and understanding as I fought Covid and was slow as hell to read your baby of love here. She was worth the wait for me ❤️

Ever since I read the first book I’ve been patiently waiting for this one and Melinda did not disappoint!! This book and these characters and the things that go on with them (and in the background) is not pretty. There are lies, secrets, angst, and so much heartbreak… especially for poor Peyton.

I’m in love with Peyton and her guys… especially Colton 🥵 That guy has ZERO boundaries and is a total Alpha male and I’m here for it! Also loving Tyler and Hawke’s relationship especially towards Peyton. Hopefully because of that major cliffhanger at the end, Steele will finally pull his head out of his butt and at least talk to her.

You guys have no idea how much I’m loving this series so far! I can’t tell you enough.. read the first book if you haven’t yet! So worth it!!

This series is absolutely one of my favorites out there! It’s so hard to wait and leave these characters until the next book comes out, I just want to stay in this universe! I’m continuing to love Peyton as our FMC, she’s strong and resilient and she has just gone through so much. We get a good detailed look at just what that is at the beginning of this book. The guys keep getting better as they get to know and trust Peyton. We are finally getting to actually know them and their feelings aside from what we saw in book 1, which wasn’t their best side lol. I liked the focus on Steele and by the end of the book I feel like he’s made progress but I’m hoping to see that continue even more. I loved the steamy scenes and I’m super excited to have the guys really harness everything they’re feeling towards Peyton and own it!

So i just finished reading savage lies. And OMFG its was soo good way better than the first book. So much was happening and still so many unanswered questions. Like what does Dylan have to do with the brotherhood? Why was Eli helping Dylan? And seriously that ENDING? I was not preparedfor. The dark, the suspense, and wittiness blended together nicely. The characters developed progressed smoothly. A few thing i want to point out firt Peytons father need to be put 6ft under, i cannot stand him for what hes done to her. Peytons mother acting all disappointed because she found out about her and Coltons relationship need to stop. She should be happy for her daughter after everything she went through. Overall a worth wild read for anyone wanting to read this series please be advised of the trigger warnings in these books. Cant believe i have to wait till June to find out what happens next.
