I think I'm growing bored with this series.

The structure behind what makes this Poly relationship work seems shakey at best. I think this is why I prefer PRN/Fantasy with Mate Bonds when it comes to reading Why Choose? books, the unlikelihood of one woman ending up with all the hot dateable men makes more sense when you can throw magical mate bombs (I know what I wrote) into the mix.

Picture this... Six adopted brothers have all been burned by people who want to use them for thier money/influence/power making it hard for them to trust anyone enough to date. They're also very busy men and don't have much time to dedicate to a real relationship. In walks thier adopted father's biological daughter whom they all happen to be attracted to. So Grandma Neighpalm (I love this woman but her character is completely ridiculous) tells all her grandsons that if they all dated thier step sister then they wouldn't have to worry about her being a gold digger because she's already a hier to thier empire, and if they shared they wouldn't have to worry about thier girlfriend not getting enough attention from them because thier brothers would be there to pick up the slack (as if all women need round the clock care like some kind of needy puppy when in reality we're more like a house plant, take us someplace nice and sunny and make sure to shower us with attention once a week and we're mostly happy).

All six brothers now having listened to thier Grandma's sage and wise advice decide that sharing thier step-sister/girlfriend amongst all six of them makes a ton of sense and somehow none of them get jealous or petty from insecurity. They have a bit of silly competition for affection but it never gets out of hand and none of them seem to want more in thier lives even though they're all rich attractive young men who could probably start a harem of thier own. This might make more sense to me if they were bi and into each other (2 of them are but not the other 4). Thier story of brotherly bonds forming into a lifelong brother husband ones doesn't make sense to me. The brother's feelings for the FMC/step-sister are nice but not at the "I love you so much that I'll take you any way I can have you even if that means sharing you" level of intense love that I feel would warrant this kind of poly relationship. I'm just not feeling the level of commitment needed to make this work yet.

Also, I've been having trouble telling all six brothers apart. I'm honestly still not sure which one is the twin to the only adopted sister in the Neighpalm family. That problem has more to do with the audio narration than the actual writing, I think? Another narration issue I've had is sometimes not being able to tell inner thoughts from spoken words.

The majority of the women outside of the family's small circle of friends and trusted coworkers all seem to have the same evil, greedy, entitlement gene that turns them into suspects for the crazy 'I can't decide if I want to be a killer' stalker/stalkers that are after the FMC.

Stalker Theory...

There are a few interesting mysteries thrown into the storyline and as much as I would like to learn about the Old Billionaire Count who lived next door and went missing some 26 years ago, and whoever the stalker is and thier motives, it's not intriguing enough to make me want to continue onto the 5th book right now.

I'm not saying it's all bad and I'll likely pick this series back up at some point. I'll make sure to read it instead of listening if I do. I believe a lot of the charm was lost with the narration. For now, I've hit my limit on the series.

The drama never ends for Harlow and family. This time around I’m getting a little annoyed with things dragging out so long. Often times things are just too predictable and so I’m hoping for some huge curveballs or twists in the final 2 books. So much time is spent on sex when I want her to finally make progress on her own business. I mean as soon as it was mentioned there was an exotic zoo next door it was very clear where the story was going for her. Also maybe it’s because there’s been already four books at this point but damn did Harlow turn into a sappy mess and have far too many breakdowns. Ironically most of her breakdowns aren’t even about the dangers and or threats in their lives.

Book 4 is here, the 2nd to last book. I know I am jumping ahead but dang that cliffhanger was brutal!! Points for keeping me on my toes! I may have had a temper tantrum!

I loved reading this book in particular because you get so much more from all the brothers. Including some particular scenes that involve MMF… steamy! I love how much Harlow has grown into this new Summers family member and that she knows her worth. If only her stalker/stalkers would just leave her alone!

Be prepared to ugly cry, laugh, and curse while reading this next instalment in the Neighpalm Industries World!

Cannot wait for the last book!

This book was sooooo good!!! I'm telling you that you will not be able to put it down and can I just say that ending...like OMG!!! Love how the characters grew and the added drama was totally jaw dropping. Can't wait to see where things go in the final book. Absolutely love this series and the author. Highly recommend this series and all the books that she has written. Every one of them has you itching for more now!

Dangerous Times

I'd probably give this book 4.5 ⭐ if I could.

This is the fourth book in the series and follows directly from the end of book three. You need to read the previous books to understand this book. Though this book ends at a natural break in the story, there is a significant hook to draw you on to the next book in the series.

Harlow, Kai and Jaxon are in Hawaii enjoying their short break, whilst the men work on their various businesses. Their wonderful experiences are tainted by the attacks on Harlow. Back home, Harlow’s safety becomes everyone’s priority. Making the best of things Harlow spends her time working on her complex and rewarding relationships with the Summers men. She also finds herself becoming more involved in understanding her family’s businesses. She also starts to build a relationship with Jacinta as they finally begin to accept each other.

This is such an enjoyable series and the complex plot keeps you guessing all the time. I still have no idea about who is causing Harlow problems and why. I thought I knew, but I determined I had NO clue by the end of this book. I love it when a book or series can keep me diverted and intrigued like that. Though this is a reverse harem book and the romance and passion form a significant part of the plot, the mystery/suspense aspect gives the relationships a rich tapestry on which to rest. It keeps things moving and affects all the relationships by applying different amounts of pressure on the various characters. It’s also not a one-dimensional plot as there are different strands to the mysteries surrounding this charismatic and unusual family, which are probably not all related to each other.

I really enjoyed finding out more about the main characters in this book. Each book reveals more about their individual pasts and how they have shaped their personalities and how they interact with Harlow and each other. For instance, in this book, we find out a lot more about Jacinta and start to see the real person behind her insecurities and irrational rage towards Harlow. We start to see why the brothers are so protective of their sister.

One thing, in particular, I like about this series is that Jacinta’s behaviour is not accepted and she faces consequences for actions. She also seeks help from her therapist and the professional aid guides her through the damage her psyche sustained as a child. This author shows redemption through hard work and I like it when that happens.

One of the other things I liked about this book was Harlow becoming more open towards friendships as well as her relationship. Before coming to California she was a loner with only her foster family providing love and support. She’d never been in a proper relationship before meeting the Summers, and the love of her family and the involvement with her ‘harem’ has helped her become more open to having other people in her life and she starts to trust in her friendships. She also takes a long hard look at her relationship with her foster sister/best friend Max.

This is a complex and intriguing, passionate, sexy and fun book, and the series as a whole is no less so. The characters are complicated and fascinating and each book peels the layers back further so we understand the motives of each person better. I can’t wait to see what happens next to this entertaining family.

10/10 recommend, another hit in the neighpalm series. Things continue to heat up with Harlow and her men and perhaps even Thomas has a change of heart ;) even she and Jacinta are friends now. Max is being cagey and I do so want to know why but that’s the thing with this series it’s full of so many characters that have interesting qualities that this series could go far beyond Harlow’s story. And that cliffhanger dang…not the worst but still I seriously can’t wait till the next book.
I did receive this as an arc but as always my options and thoughts are my own :)

WOW WOW WOW these book just keep getting better the more I read. The story hooks you from the very beginning and you can’t put it down.
I can’t wait to finish this series but at the same time never want it to end.

I skimmed a lot of the book. This story has been dragging IMO, 4 books is a lot of books not to have a storyline wrapped up. I understand there are a lot of men in the harem and I can appreciate that the book has taken time to build relationships, what I dislike is the murder plot line and the cliffhanger was obvious and an eye roll. I would much rather have the series be about how they got together, how they navigate family life, media, futures (does Harlow want to get pregnant), a little murder plot thrown in there (but not 3 books worth of murder plot)

It is like expensive chocolate and the perfect bottle of wine! A must have!!

Wanted Girl

Look out!!! Not only is there so much action, witty banter and smoking hot scenes. But there is also continuous and evolving character growth.

Harlow and her gang of sexy Summers men are dealing with more threats and epic new adventures that I never could have dreamed of.

From Hawaii to Prague we get to go globe trotting with Harlow and see all the fun and sometimes scary incidents that Harlow and the Summers men find themselves embroiled in.

I have so many theories on who the stalker is, how they could have gotten so close to Harlow and her family….plus that ending!!!! 😭

If you like the other books in this series….then strap in and get ready for a new and sexy book in the series! Grab some snacks, a quiet corner and get ready for the adventure!

Just as good as the previous three!

Sometimes in a series, for whatever reason, there are books that just aren’t as good as the others. Maybe for the story to move forward, that book has more filler? Maybe it’s just the timeline of the plot? Who knows, but that’s definitely not the case with the fourth installment of Neighpalm Industries Collective 4. You get a deeper glimpse into Harlow and her relationships, as well as the rest of the family. The plot is still sucking you right in as well.

Wanted Girl is an amazing addition to the Neighpalm Industries Collective and the series just keeps getting better. Loving all the drama that comes with Harlow adjusting to her new life in California with the Summers' and the mystery surrounding her stalker has kept me guessing the entire series.

The relationships that Harlow is forming with her guys is deepening and I can’t wait to see what is coming up for them. The friendship that Harlow and Jacinta are beginning to forge I absolutely love. They are both sassy, snarky and together, will be a total force of nature.

I am looking forward to reading more from this series!!!

This was well worth the wait. I’m for sure in a book hangover and it will be forever until cherished girl is out…wwwhhhyyy. Enough of my tantrum. So we learn lots of interesting things. We see a side of Harlow we have not seen yet, jealousy. Man oh man does the girl have crawls. This one ends on a hook not a cliffy, at least for me. No spoilers here. I will say read them in order to make sense because book three ends where this one picks up. I am happy we finally meet Jilly, can’t wait for more there.

I cannot get enough of this series!! Lexie Winston brilliantly writes this next book in Harlows story and drags us readers back into the amazing world of the Summers and Neighpalm Industries. After that cliffhanger in Tormented Girl this book soothes the soul a bit as we get more information about what is going on. And Thomas……… what can I say…….. he is taking his sweet time. Beware the cliffhanger!! 😱😱 we do get some answers but boy do we get left on a doozy! Absolutely phenomenal! I am definitely looking forward to the next book!! Highly recommended! This series is addictive! 💜🖤

The books are starting to drag a bit. I am reading these books back to back so I forget if this one...but I noticed especially when she was in Hawaii. The author is moving the plot along, but instead of developing scenes with each brother, she focuses on the sex scenes. Which is a way to go...but I kinda feel like both creates more character development for the reader. The surf lessons were kinda skipped over and that could have been a cute one-on-one scene. Sex and stalker plot is what we got, which again, is fine but for me, I want a bit more.

I absolutely love this series! Harlow is such a great and a great genuine person. And oh my the Summers men, I love them! Holden and Oliver are my favorites! Book four continues where book 3 left off with the Summers family trying to figure out the mystery to the identity of the stocker. The action, steaminess, and all the mystery keeps you wanting more. Lexie does great in keeping you guessing and she is such a great writer. And oh my, that double bomb at the end!!!!! I can’t wait for the next book!

Great edition to the series

I really enjoyed this book, Harlow and her hot AF RH is really steamy. I loved the suspense and the unknown element of the stalker, it really gave a great edge to the storyline.
I’m struggling to write more as I don’t want to give away any spoilers.
Overall this was a great book, finally some people are put in their place and other aspects of relationships strengthen and develop further.
Can’t wait to find out what happens next.

I need more books

I love the series. I love the writing. This book is getting steamy as hell and moves at a great pace. Ends on a cliff hanger. Someone at least a few of us thought might be the bad guy ends up getting taken off the list so I have no clue who is really the bad guy. Keep em coming!

Another great addition

I love this series! I don’t usually go for contemporary, but it’s so interesting. I love Harlow and each of the guys. In this book we’re finally getting some answers and the pieces are starting to come together. The cliffhanger was less intense (to me at least) so that made it nice too. Can’t wait for more!

one day read and already for a reread

What can I say Lexie Winston has done it again. Harlow and the Summers heat up the pages. But the story and the people are what shine through this book. Can’t wait for more and I need to know who the stalker is. Just when I think I might know who it is. Nope proven wrong.

As always with Lexie Winston’s novels you get fantastic writing, great characters, engaging plot lines, twists, turns, 🔥🔥🔥(it’s getting extra hot in this one) and a cliffhanger!

You must read the first three books in this this series before diving into Wanted Girl because you won’t want to miss the back story.

In this instalment of Harlow’s harem we see the relationships build in such a great way. We still have the previous story arcs - they haven’t taken a back seats - and new ones evolve.

I was also waiting for a cliffhanger but that particular epilogue / cliffhanger I didn’t see coming.

Thank you again Lexie for sharing your worlds and words with us. I’m very much looking for the final instalment of Harlow’s story
