Secret societies. Magical boarding schools. Supernatural beings…What could go wrong?

I’m Millie Brix and apparently, I’m a supernatural shifter. Funny eighteenth birthday present, right?

Chosen for Supernatural Shifter Academy, I have to learn which shifter clan I belong to and how to use my powers that are slowly growing out of control. Supernatural Shifter Academy only has five hundred places and if I’m not strong enough to survive, I won’t get to walk away.

The Sirens lure you in, the Wolves bite first and ask questions later, the Dragons only care for themselves, the Vampires plan to own the world and the Witches will do whatever it takes to win.

I’m not going to let the academy or its students beat me, that’s for sure.

With a prince of the Vampires seducing me, a secretive Siren dead set on making me his, a gorgeous Wolf shifter who wants to claim my heart and an alpha Dragon who sees me as a prize he wants to keep… the academy is far more dangerous than it looks.

In this academy, secrets are the only thing you can trade with and I’m right in the middle of the biggest secret the academy has.

And when the truth comes out…the academy will fall.

17+ Reverse Harem Romance which means the main character will have more than one love interest. This is book one of a five-book series and will be rapidly released.

C'mon, seriously?!

Look, I understand that some books will have grammatical errors and continuity issues. I get it, really I do. Especially with indie authors...but...but...but...c'mon now! How does the MC go from:

By now, my chestnut hair is beginning to dampen...
on page 10

to:

The grimy mirror on the back of the door makes me pause, looking at my blonde wet hair falling around my shoulders...
on page 11!!

Seriously?? Her hair went from brown to blonde in the span of a page??

This is just careless.

I won this book through a giveaway in exchange for an honest review.

Man, I really wanted to give this at least 4 stars...but I just couldn’t quite justify it. The plot is intriguing and interesting and does a great job of pulling you in and making you curious of what’s going to happen next...however, I just found the overall book to be lacking substance. And what the heck was that ending? Throughout the book and from reading the excerpt on the back of the book, you get built up on this crazy adventure that’s going to unfold and it’s going to be so scary and hectic....and then you read it and get “meh”. Not a bad read, but it certainly didn’t meet my expectations. I know this is a series and I understand they probably intentionally wanted some sort of cliffhanger ending to get people to want to know what’s next so they’ll get book #2. I guess im just disappointed. I loved the idea behind this book and the academy itself sounded so cool!

This is the first book that I have read from G. Bailey and Regan Rosewood and it was pretty good. So this seems to be setting the premises of the story for the characters in the book. So we have great developement for the characters. The main character being Millie Brix being in the system and being bounced from foster homes. She does not know much about her parents so she has nothing to go by as to who they are. It is all a mystery. She ends up going to shifter academy where she meets Hunter, Landon, Shade, and Silas. Each one of the guys is a different shifter and she is very comfortable around them. Here is a twist though, everyone is not so accepting of what she is. Huh? Why? So much mystery as why that is. Then you here the stories of these guys and they are all pretty similar. Is this a coincidence? Everything starts to pick up and we are trying to find out what is really going on? The build up was suspenseful but we did get a few answers. It is a great start to a new series and I am excited to see what will happen next.

Not sure how I feel about this book. The premise is interesting. It's cute. Very YA. But what is throwing me is the pacing. It seems stilted/choppy. It come across as more of an outline then a fleshed out story. Not much depth to any of the characters or their interactions.

This is an interest first book in what might be an interesting series. As always, G. Bailey does a great job with a series in an academy setting. The characters are interesting, but I don't feel like I know them very well. I realize this is the first book in the series, and I am interested in seeing what happens next, but this world is a little different what I usually expect from this author and I am not sure what to expect yet. I will definitely read the next book.

Crescent Wolves (Supernatural Shifter Academy Book 1) by G. Bailey is a wonderful story that I have had the privilege to read. This is book number one out of three in this wonderful start to a brand new series that I am so hooked on. I can not wait to read the rest of this wonderful series that I have loved reading. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about wolf shifters, vampires, dragons, reverse harem and paranormal romance in their stories.

Game on! This impressive and immensely talented dynamic duo doesn't hold back unleashing this kick@ss rollercoaster and revving up the adrenaline, breaking hard fast rules, raising the stakes and keeping it real, blasting this jewel to life flawlessly. A raging tempest of vexing mishaps and tangled events, observing the formidable trials and hard fought triumphs, stumbling through the daunting twists and intricate turns, testing our characters in ways they could have never envisioned. Disadvantages are heightened and stretched, baring all the fierce facts, frivolous feels and fleeting fiascos, igniting a fierce determination with such intensity and vigor, propelling this jewel to a whole new level. Traipsing through a minefield of daring drama, underlying threats, damning conspiracy, riveting intrigue, escalating danger and spiraling suspense, traversing the cunning manipulations of vicious iniquity, atrocious deeds and heinous intent, putting our characters through their paces, testing them in ways they could have never anticipated. The characters are authentic and realistic with depth and qualities that add diversity, transforming into amazing personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Remarkable job guys, thanks for sharing this awesome little gem with us.

Millie Brix is an orphan. A little after she turns eighteen she's forced to run away from her foster home and sees herself becoming something strange. Turns out she's a shifter, an hybrid one. She is invited to Shifters Academy where she meets a siren, a vampire, a dragon and a wolf shifter that she feels linked to. But the Academy holds many secrets and they are not so good ones.

I loved this book. G. Bailey is a diva and together with Regan Rosewood with have this new masterpiece. Can't wait for book 2!

Awesome New Series!
I totally have a thing for paranormal RH especially ones with shifters and in an academy setting! I’m totally hooked. This is definitely slow burn so if slow burn isn’t your thing, maybe this won’t be your thing. You can tell the authors are trying to make this a story, there is a plot, it’s not just fluff and fun times in the bedroom, there’s a legitimate plot and mystery going on. I thoroughly enjoy books that have me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what happens next! Shade and Silas are tied as my favorite men, but that’s because I have a thing for wolves and dragons! Can’t wait for the next one to see what happens next!

I’m not sure what it was about this book specifically, but I didn’t really care for it. The book felt very YA for my tastes, and I definitely wasn’t looking for that. I don’t like to read about super young characters in romance books. It creeps me out. The FMC in this book hasn’t even graduated high school yet, though she’s just turned 18.

I didn’t connect to any of the characters. All the males felt very one dimensional. Their connection to each other and the relationships felt forced. Or fake….or something. I didn’t like the FMC much, she’s so pathetic I can’t even stand it. ‘Woe is me, I’m an orphan.’ ‘Woe is me, I’m different and weird.’ She felt like a victim to me. Like she had a victims mentality. She just let everything happen to her and cried about it later. I’m not sure if I’m explaining it right, but I didn’t like her.

The plot was mildly interesting, but it’s not enough to carry an entire series. I would probably end up killing myself from boredom if I tried to read the rest of the series. Besides that, the plot line feels entirely too predictable. I know who the main big evil guy is already. I’m not sure if that’s supposed to be a big reveal at the end of the series, but I can already guess with a high amount of certainty.

Anyways… this book was boring and dumb. I didn’t appreciate it. Maybe you will?

I love school / academy reads and this is a fab one to read! With a whole host of supernatural beings, shifters, dragons, sirens, vampires and witches, this makes for an exciting and intriguing first book! 3.5 stars for this new PNR academy RH series.

I really enjoyed this concept for a new RH series and I really like the MC and the setting they authors have created for this PNR academy story. I thought the plot was well paced and the detail issues I sometimes have with G Bailey's writings were not a problem in this one. I thought the twist towards the end was great and I am super excited to see where these authors take the relationship between Boots and her suitors haha. I already am diving into book 2 and liking it, so definitely will continue with this series (and I like that they are not far between, keeps me from having to do re-reads). I am intrigued to see where the evils are coming from, and how the confrontation between the supernaturals and humans will go (for those who are not in favor of the supernaturals being amongst the humans).

The reason I couldn't give it a 5 star rating is because there were issues with consistency and editing. I usually don't let that impact my reviews but when some of the major plot details change based on which chapter you are reading, when character's names change a couple times, it takes the reader out of the story. I don't think the polish was there that usually is consistent with G Bailey books. This can be remedied, the story and characters are what make this story good and have immense potential. This is the reason why I gave it 4 stars because of said potential.

for me it’s a bit...meh

So, I really enjoy these two authors and the books they’ve written, but this one kinda falls a bit short IMPO. The plot line is weak, the characters are still too...shallow? I’m not sure why it’s not gelling at all for me. But, give it a go yourself and then decide. So I won’t be going to book two...

What a great start to a new series by G. Bailey and Regan Rosewood. I am a huge fan of Gem's and have followed her from the beginning. I love her unique takes she has on her stories. How she writes, reveals, her characters and how she links her series. Regan is a new author for me but I really like these two together. Honestly they write so well together that you would just think it was one person.

So as I said before I am used to Gem making stories her own with twists. Here in Crescent Wolves we have a common theme of a girl who did not know she was supernatural but on her 18th bday guess what?! Right, but Gem and Regan but a different spin on it that is all theirs. Millie is a great female lead and I found myself rooting for her from the start. She is an orphan who has had not the easiest of lives. When she defends herself one day after an attack she is forced to defend herself, in a way she never expected. When she is taken to Shifter Academy where she is to learn about herself, she hopes to learn how to control herself. There she meets friends and maybe a few boyfriends who are willing to help her.

So overall this is a great first start to a new shifter story, my favorite by the way, that has a lot of promise to become one of my favorite reads by Gem.

"Crescent Wolves was a really good story. Life didn't treat Millie so good and the academy meant an opportunity for her to discover her true self but what happens if there are lots of secrets, lies and lots of unanswered questions. But luckily Millie got some help and OMG what help she got! One of the things I loved the most was how Landon, Hunter, Shade, Silas and Millie develop through the story. All of them were different with their own qualities but what I loved the most about them were their personalities. My heart broke when Silas... I don't want to give details about the story. It was a really good beginning of their journey, together they need to find out if their connection is real or perhaps something already planned? I'm looking forward for the next book!"

Is she really an abomination or something special. Millie has been an orphan ever since someone abandoned her as a baby. Moving from one foster home to another. But when her current foster father almost strikes her she runs away, seeks shelter in an abandoned building, is attacked by two men, and she turns into a monster to defend herself. She is then visited by two supernaturals and they whisk her off to Shifter Academy so she can learn how to use her newly discovered powers. But she is an anomaly. Instead of being one type of supernatural she is a combination of all five. But as she settles into her new life and gains friends and possible boyfriends, something isn’t right at the academy. A student disappears and twenty year old secret is revealed. Not Millie and her friends have to stop what is going on. ***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.***

This is the first book I have read by G. Bailey and Regan Rosewood together and I loved it! This book was great!

After a while, reverse harems all start to seem the same with slight differences. Not that I mind in any way! I still absolutely love them! This one was much different than I expected.

Millie has had a tough go at life moving from foster home to foster home. She ends up in the shifter academy and doesn't make many friends at first. She has one girl friend who seems like she will stick by her side no matter what. Then she has 4 sexy shifters completely drawn to her and will also do anything for Millie.

OMG that ending! You learn so much about why Millie has multiple shifter races in her blood! It is something I cant wait to learn more about in the next book in the series!

Great new series

I can see this series growing with every book in to something huge and that you wont want to put down.
First we meet Millie walking home to her foster parents in the rain. When she gets in her foster dad gets violent so she runs away. From here we see her go through a couple twists to then be found and taken to shifter academy. Here she meets Hazel who becomes her friend and who happens to introduce her to Landon. From here she also meets Silas, Hunter and Shade. The five of them become close, when many more twists occur and Millie finds Silas missing when she wakes up. To then go through some crazy turns to come out the other side with more questions about what's going.
Totally can't wait to see what happens next

I usually enjoy G. Bailey’s series but lately I have not. This one was a big disappointment! Not sure if it’s cause she coauthored it or not.

This book is very inconsistent. They change up her hair color and eye color & they can’t keep up with how many shifter breeds they are. Is is 4 or 5 different types of shifters? It’s mentioned many times there are 5 types (witch, werewolf, vampire, dragon & siren) and SPOILER.....she was created from being human by taking her guys DNA to mix with hers....yet she only has 4 guys but 5 types of DNA. Where’d she get the witch DNA? Maybe that’s explained later in the series but it’s still very inconsistent in this book.

The FMC is an orphan and homeless, she loves Harry Potter, Narnia and Twilight cause she dreams she could be saved by supernaturals like them. She gets her wish and she’s against going to the free school with free food and a free room. She throws a hissy fit.

It also drove me crazy that it took a bit to know whose perspective we are reading in each chapter. You don’t know it’s going to be a different POV till the start of the chapter makes no sense and you realize it’s a different character POV.

There is really no back story. There is no depth. The characters are not fleshed out and are very two dimensional. I barely remember any of the characters names or what they look like.

The FMC meets the guys, they talk a few times and then she’s talking like she’s in a relationship with them and can’t choose. She’s been there a few days and has spoken to them a few times. It’s all just very choppy and all over the place.

Hunter is a vampire...yet he seems to be terrified of everything. His sister attacks the FMC and he doesn’t do anything but freak out. Then later he’s talking about how he’ll stick up for the FMC even against his sister and no one will hurt the FMC. His sister already attacked and he did nothing...and he never really does stand up for her. During the ‘big fight’ at the end of this book, he stands in a corner doing nothing to help. He is very anti vampire.

This book is all over the place and reads like a teenagers wattpad rough draft. I will not continue this series.

Millie was a foster child passed around from house to house. When her latest foster father threatened to hurt her she got the hell out of there. She ends up in an abandoned warehouse, where some squatters tried to rape and Rob her when she unleashed the power inside that she had no idea of. Now she is enrolled in a private academy for the supernatural. One place she thought would be safe but as she finally discovers no place is safe. This was great and I cannot wait for the next book.

Yasss! I could not put this book down! Of course I love G. Bailey, and I'm loving the combo with Regan Rosewood. Love the FMC Millie. At first she's a bit timid at the academy, but once she gets friends and feels more comfortable she really starts to shine with confidence. I'm excited to see her connections grow with the guys. But also investigating the secrets and lies the academy is keeping or trying to keep.

Fun series opener!!

Like every book G. Bailey writes, she takes a common concept and redid it to add her own unique flair. Regan is a new co-author for Gem who I am unfamiliar with. The co-write was done flawless with minimal discontinuity or context errors. Like most of Gem’s co-writes I’ve read, the plot flows seamlessly and isn’t noticeable that 2 different people collaborated on the story.

Now this story...like I said, it is a common theme and concept but with its own unique twist to make it stand out amongst others. It’s a memorable story and plot that sucked me in from the start. I am excited for the next book to see what happens next. I’m happy to hear that this series will be longer than just 3 books because I don’t think 3 would be enough for me. 😁

I always enjoy G Bailey's books but this one... wow was BAD! What happened??
Normally I am hooked on the first page and I was skimming chapter 1.
The story is so inconsistent … her hair color, eye color and number of different types of shifters continually change.
Brix is saying one chapter she just wishes she could be scooped up by a fairy godmother and saved THEN she gets basically 2 and she says oh hell no you can't make me go to a free school with food and board and education. You are homeless... you are turning away free? Isn't this the exact thing you were asking for not 3 seconds before?
We aren't told whose prospective we are reading from when we start a chapter instead we have to guess...
She is a mysterious only ever seen 1 other time in the world shifter (they killed the last one) and the first thing she does is tell complete strangers that what she is... or lack there of.
This book makes no sense so I am OUT!
