Goodreads Choice Award
Nominee for Best Romance (2016)
Four consecutive weeks on the New York Times and #1 in Romance.

It started out like any other morning on the train.
Until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle.
He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world.
Who did the stuck-up suit think he was...God?
Actually, he looked like a God. That was about it.
When his stop came, he got up suddenly and left. So suddenly, he dropped his phone on the way out.
I might have picked it up.
I might have gone through all of his photos and called some of the numbers.
I might have held onto the mystery man's phone for days―until I finally conjured up the courage to return it.
When I traipsed my ass across town to his fancy company, he refused to see me.
So, I left the phone on the empty desk outside the arrogant jerk's office.
I might have also left behind a dirty picture on it first though.
I didn't expect him to text back.
I didn't expect our exchanges to be hot as hell.
I didn't expect to fall for him―all before we even met.
The two of us couldn't have been any more different.
Yet, you know what they say about opposites.
When we finally came face to face, we found out opposites sometimes do more than attract―we consumed each other.
Nothing could have prepared me for the ride he took me on. And I certainly wasn't prepared for where I'd wind up when the ride was over.
All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

I met my husband when I was sixteen and he was nineteen. He wasn't much of a fancy dresser, so he never wore suits like Graham did in this book. In fact, we've been married for 16 years now and I've never seen him wear a suit. He actually still wears some of the same shirts he wore when I met him as a teenager. There's this one shirt that's so worn down that it has a hole right over his right nipple. But he wears it all the time and his nipple just hangs out like it's part of the damn family.
I liked this book.
I wish my husband owned a suit.

I saw the glowing reviews for this book from friends and decided that it would be my next audiobook selection. I am so glad that I listened to my friends. It was fantastic!

If you like strong-minded, outspoken heroines and leading men that beg to be reformed, then 'Stuck-Up Suit' is an excellent choice! Soraya is one of my new favorite heroines. I loved how she gave as good as she got. She definitely made Graham work for it, which was exactly what that stuck-up suit needed. I never knew what she was going to let come flying out of her mouth at any time, but I knew it would be hilarious.

As for Graham, he takes a little more getting used to. He is the type of character that you love to hate. He really is despicable. However, his antisocial antics were so over-the-top that I couldn't help but to love his character from go. I have a weakness for A-holes, what can I say!

This book had me doubled over in laughter right from the start, which was a nice change from the "heavier" stories I'd been reading. The banter between these two was hysterical. I loved the way Soraya brought Graham down a few pegs. And the advice she doled out for the column...priceless.

Not unexpectedly, there was plenty of heat between these two. They really made each other better people. Graham, especially, had lots of room to improve. Together, they just worked. Opposites attract and all that.

Also no big surprise, is the fact that there is a fairly significant amount of drama for these two. Just when they start to pull it together, Graham's manipulative ex tries to sink her claws back into him. This one was a real piece of work, but it did make for some angst.

As a whole, I loved this story. It was fun, cute and uplifting. The narration was spectacular. Even though it was predictable, I enjoyed every minute. Sometimes if it works, it works! This book definitely worked for me.

DNF @ 46%

Have you noticed the way a disproportionate number of these popular, super successful NA authors seem to have some of the most basic, dumbed-down, uninspired writing style imaginable?

I’ve noticed.

I swear, it’s like they aren’t even trying. Writing as a form of art? Pshh. Oh please. Forget about trying to give any kind of feel for the setting, of trying to create any sort of atmosphere. Let’s just write about going here, and then there, and then doing this, and then that. Then she says this and he says that and blah blah blah. That’s what these books are like.

Which is fine. I’m just saying - it trips me out that these authors can be so successful when the very foundation of their craft (you know, actual writing ability) is suspended on such a woefully stagnant level of mediocrity. And it IS mediocre - a fact that is blaringly obvious when you compare it to real, true talent.

His face, when he wasn’t smiling, had a pensive, ominous cast to it, but as soon as he grinned the severity melted into an airy radiance that made me want to touch his chest and feel his heartbeat.
--Tiffanie DeBartolo (How to Kill a Rock Star)

He was fucking hot when he was mad.
--This book

Do you fricken see what I mean??? Or how about this example - both are sentences describing someone in a subway station:

My right foot stepped onto the train, and I froze mid-step spotting him already in the car. Shit! He was sitting across from my usual seat. I backed up.
--This book

He took several cautious steps forward, stopping abruptly at the thick yellow line you weren’t supposed to cross. His arms dangled like a puppet and he seemed to skim the ground when he walked, as if suspended over the edge of the world by a hundred invisible strings.
--Tiffanie DeBartolo (How to Kill a Rock Star)

Or this:

But I could feel the energy of the city in the vibrations coming off the tracks, and the diversity of the faces I saw around me made me feel so alive, so much a part of something kinetic, I swore I could taste it like metallic electricity on my tongue.
--Tiffanie DeBartolo (How to Kill a Rock Star)

You can see the difference, right? I can see it. I can feel it when I’m reading. With one book, my entire being is sucked into the story, my heart is beating in tandem with the characters, I'm breathing their air, I’m there, I’m part of it.

With the other book, I feel absolutely nothing.

So, yeah. I’m not impressed. Also, I’m finding the storyline to be really stupid. No offense to those who liked this, it’s just not my bag, baby ;)

(Why did I go off on that little tangent there? I dunno. I guess I'm just tired of being suckered into buying these kind of books, of seeing them constantly dominate the front pages of the kindle bestsellers lists -- hundreds of 5 star ratings in just a few days? It must be AWESOME, right?? All the time. I fall for that ALL. THE. TIME. It's starting to piss me off. Will that make me finally stop buying them? God I hope so.)

Oh, but hey! Here’s a little snippet of dialogue that may pique your interest:
“It doesn’t matter how good-looking you are. You’re a dangerous human being.”

“You have no idea how dangerous I am when I want something. I will stop at nothing to get it. And there’s nothing more that I want right now than you.”
See, to me, that little exchange couldn’t BE more generic, but(!) I also know that it probably may appeal to many, many people. So I don’t really not recommend this book or anything; I say go for it if you want to - you may like it! :)

P.S. - YES, I usually one-star books that I DNF. The way I see it, if I am disliking a book so much that I have no desire to force myself to finish reading it, then it deserves one star.

This book sucked me in from the beginning, it was hilarious and I fell in love with both characters Graham and Soraya. It all started with a regular day of work where Soraya meets this cocky prick on her regular train ride to her work. Graham's driver called in sick and he had no choice but to take the train to work. He was a busy man and didn't realized he dropped his phone on his way out at his stop. Soraya finds it after checking him out of course; her thoughts had me in giggles. I absolutely loved her personality from the beginning.

Graham Morgan; successful business owner had his heart broken and he had been betrayed. He no longer believed in love and after his mother's death he was done with people. He became cold and distant he didn't care for people and just put a brick wall between his heart and never let anyone in again. Graham thought that by being successful and becoming a workaholic he would make his mother proud.

Soraya Venedetta; has never really being in love before because she never let anyone in. Her father has broken up their family and hurt her in the process she didn't believe in love either. Therefore; she guarded her heart so deeply that way there was no way she would get hurt. That one day she find's Graham phone changed her life though. She managed to find out where he worked and decided to take a visit and deliver his phone. He was a prick in her eyes and she wanted him to know she was honest and could give him what was his.

Their first meeting did not went well; ok they never met because Mr. Prick refused to see her so Soraya being the smart ass she was which is why I loved her; she took selfies of her body and texted to him and left his cell phone with his secretary. Graham did not see that coming he was utterly shocked and impressed with that woman he wanted to know who she was.

description

Graham find out who Soraya was and he pursued her by texting her. They were both from two completely different worlds but that didn't stopped him he wanted her. She intrigued him; she made him feel things he hasn't been able to think since his ex betrayed him. They're relationship started friendly texting; flirting; and she didn't let him in easy it was super hilarious how she would tease him. Soraya is defiantly my type of girl, she makes him work for her and it just made their relationship so much more interesting and intense.

"God, I need to touch you...I don't think we are right for each other. I'm not your type...And what exactly is my type?...a snobby, rich bitch? Someone who compliments a stuck-up suit such as yourself...Well, there's only one person I want to be all over right now, Soraya. All. Over. You."

description

I laughed so much while reading this book; specially when Soraya was at work. She was an assistant to an advice columnist run in the newspaper and now website called Dear Abby but put out by a woman who is not nice. Her boss writes them back as if she is the nicest person on earth but in the contrary she is not. Soraya sometimes was given the opportunity to respond to these people writing and oh my lord i laughed and cried it was so funny; loved how she thinks. This column is also used in a wonderful way throughout the book; Mr. Prick takes advantage too and he soon realize he knows more about Soraya he knows exactly which columns she writes. I loved it so much.

There were ups and downs once Graham and Soraya where finally able to compromise with each other but I wouldn't have wanted any other way. I enjoyed every single part of this book. My Cocky and his goat did a quick appearance at the end that had me laughing in tears just utterly unexpected and super enjoyable.

4 Angsty Stars!

What started out as a light and playful read suddenly transformed into something that is filled with drama. But, guess what? I still loved it. Because angst. I eat angst. I breathe angst. Seriously. This book crawled under my skin and disarmed me in many ways possible.

Stuck-Up Suit begins when Soraya Venedetta and Graham Morgan had a crazy interaction on the train. They didn't have a pleasant first meeting because Graham acted like an arrogant jerk not just to her but to the person he was talking to on the phone. When Graham accidentally left his phone on the train, Soraya picked it up and decided to return it the following day. But before she did it, she first did some stalkings. She was surprised to find out that Graham does have a soft side, after all. Upon returning the phone to Morgan Financial Holdings to which he's the owner, Graham still acted like a prick and this led her to take a photo of her sexy body parts using his phone before handing it to his receptionist.

The first parts were enjoyable and flirty. Graham and Soraya's sexy exchange of text messages was a ray of sunshine lol. I like that these characters have an undeniable chemistry which just made the sexual tension even more delectable. The second part became something serious because of the sudden change of the tone.

There was a bit of a twist that changed the plot entirely. I wasn't surprised by this knowing that this has always been the game of Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. I have to say that everything was done neatly.

Throwing in some bitchy secondary characters like Avery and Genebieve and things got sour. I really hate it when antagonists just ruin the story. But I loved Chloe and grandma Meme. They're adorable characters!

The book was not without some predictable situations, but it was mainly satisfying. It gave me a good laugh and a good cry. Not to mention that there was a good amount of steam. Plus, a HEA. Graham and Soraya's love story, all in all, managed to make me fall in love!

(P.S. Thank you to my lovely friend Hulya for recommending this book to me. You are the best! You can read her entertaining review by clicking her name. :))

I can't even put into words how much I LOVED this book!

description

I read a bunch of reviews before I dived into this one so I knew there was going to be a terribly cliche plot twist I also knew that Graham was going to be a totally devoted hero. Something that seems to be a bit of a unicorn in Romanceland lately. So I figured the good would outway the cliche and boy did it.

I ADORED both Graham and Soraya. The back and forth between these two was PURE GOLD. It had me laughing out loud on more than a few occasions. Graham was PERFECT, he was sexy as hell, but also sweet and vulnerable. I felt for him SO much at one point, it broke my heart. Soraya is an example of a heroine that can be feisty and strong without coming off as a right 'ol bitch. What she did at the end for Graham and Chloe shattered my heart. I didn't understand it because I would have but she was just such a likable character I forgave her.

The plot flowed nicely and the secondary characters were interesting and well written. I need more books with heroes and heroines like these two. More books where the hero is devoted and doesn't run off to bang OW the minute there is an "issue" Give me more....

4 *MBP* STARS

Once again this writing duo delivers a sexy, snarky, emotional, love story and it’s a hit!

description

This story starts with our heroine, Soraya Venedetta who is a wonderful character finding the dropped phone of the sexy suit on the train. His behavior turns her off and what ensues with texts and thereafter is a great ride with the hesitate Soraya trying to guard her heart.

”For all I knew, the second I gave in, he would be gone. And I didn’t want this to end. I loved the excitement of wondering what he’d say or do, wondering what would happen next.”

Graham and Soraya are wonderful together as they find their footing in a relationship. Things get thrown off course when huge drama comes their way yet Graham does everything possible to express his feelings for her.

”You know, it’s no coincidence that the other tattoo I had was nowhere near my heart. You’re the only woman who’s ever owned it.”

description

Soraya struggles with doing the right thing when Graham’s ex’s secret comes out and she wonders what her place is in the situation.

”I was either the most selfless woman on Earth or the stupidest. “

description

Overall, this was yet another enjoyable read by this winning team!

"Gorgeous, arrogant, and pissed off?”
I chuckled a little. “Yeah, that’s him."

When I started reading this book, i knew what I was up against, but even so, I was not really prepared for the punch I felt under certain scenes that got me really riled up inside.

Don't get me wrong. This book started so strong and I was all happy and excited to be in Graham's and Soraya's heads! The witty banter between them was so entertaining, I was laughing so much, that must be good isn't it? I am afraid the more I delve into the book the less laughable I got and eventually....I got from this.....

Yeah, people, after that twist with his ex-fiancee baby was introduced...the book went into a " deterioration mood" Like a fresh apple beginning to rot in a slow-motion! It's not the fact that I am against this type of plot device, it's the execution that failed for me. Simply put, I was not fully convinced by the "shattered love" Graham felt for Soraya and the whole romance part just lacked the intensity to fully engaged emotionally with those characters. Yes, the beginning was very promising and the build-up was there, but, it never materialized to the level of accumulation it was expected to be! Maybe the reason was that the author made Graham a very contradictory character...

he claims that the reason he got engaged with his fiancee at the time was more like a "business arrangement" but then in another scene he claims "she was the love of his life or so he thought" And what about that tattoo on his chest with her name engraved on? Please tell me now that if a man is tattooing the name of his girlfriend on his chest is not serious enough? Soraya told him that his ex-was very beautiful and he said in response "she does not lit a candle to Soraya" but later in the book he thought about his ex that she was always beautiful? He kept saying that he was not that serious about the ex, but that did not wheelstand the lure to have her name imprinted on his chest? That is a very contradictory behaviour to me...I just don't like that inconsistency, you were in love with her or you were not! As a reader, that information is important to me because it determines the whole dynamics of the romance..that irregularity put some doubts in my head and that is not a good thing!

Then there were some "other parts" that made me uncomfortable: like Graham reminiscing on the past events with his ex when she gave him a lot of blow jobs under his office table...

Soraya hearing from Graham's ex what they did in that summer house that they bought together in the past...

As a romance reader, I really don't appreciate to be subjected to that kind of detailed information. It adds nothing of value to the romance, quite the contrary, it makes it even harder to make it believable... Would the author not realize that having to hear "they had sex like rabbits" would not play on the reader's imagination? because that's what was playing in my mind! "All the sexual stuff... on their sofa and on that beach"!!! It made Soraya very uncomfortable and insecure, and who blames her? I felt uncomfortable and I am only a reader! I actually did not even blame her for "pretending to cheat" She only held hands with his friend to make it look like she was with him to make Graham broke up with her...but was she not right about what would have happened if she did leave him? Remember what his ex told her? That as soon as Soraya left him he would be back in her grace? And isn't that what happened?

1. The cosy dinners at her house with their daughter
2. The cosy wine and chatters
3. The compliments "you look nice" (Graham to his ex)

I am not saying she should pretend to cheat on him, but her fears were justifiable ones...how many people got back together because the woman was the mother of the man's child and that would be a natural progression to make a family for the child?

yes, Graham was 100% faithful and never strayed, but I just never felt that Soraya was really more special than his ex...he never confirmed that sex with Soraya was more special than with his ex and he did had her name tattooed on his chest...yes, he did change that and then put Soraya's name on it, but that was a little too late for me....it would have been more rewarding if "Soraya's name was the first he put on his chest and not his ex."

So, um these authors are pretty solid. And I normally like their books a lot, especially Vi's. But, is it just me or do most of their books have all of the same elements and plot lines? It's like they're all the same formula where there's always I mean, this is like the 5th or 6th book by either or both of these authors where those two plots are used. Which is a shame because they're extremely talented. Any way, as my friend Jeannine says, this was a solid 3, liked it, but probably won't remember the names of the characters later.

UPDATE: SAFETY INFO

No cheating, but for my friends who prefer no OW (Other woman) and No OM (other man) drama here's some info:

Original review.
2.5

If I was only rating based on the hero, I'd give 6 stars. Sadly, the authors added unnecessary drama and wasted the potential of that awesome guy

description

Mixed feelings. I loved this book for the first 60% . Then as it's common on the New adult/Erotica self-published genre, once the couple get to bed the authors add some drama/separation. It seems like they feel the need to add filler and drag the story so the book will have a decent length. I hate filler. At times it's well done at times they ruin the book. In this case, they ruined the heroine. I really liked her in the beginning. Smart, snarky, she didn't take sh¨It from anyone. The she took sh¨t from Graham's ex and became so stupid that even asked advice from her own boss and ended up hurting the hero. I hated her for being so childish and hurt the hero (remember aby abernathy from beautiful disaster? worst than that). I hate when authors do "adult fiction" then make their characters have less sense than a YA character. So this smart woman couldn't come up with something better than ask for advice from a stupid woman she despised, then follow that advice with the worst plan ever? After his grandma had warned her of what would happen to the hero if he got hurt again?

I might be part of the minority on this one, but if a book it's good, the story is complete no cliffy, a decent beginning, middle and ending even if it is only 100 pages I still pay gladly for it. I have a lot of books to read and because of that short books aren't a problem for me. I finish them quickier and move to the next. I'd pay more happily for a cute short novel than for 1250 pages of adding things that make the hero/heroine act out of character. This book would have worked better as a 200 page novel.I prefer a short novella like Puddle jumping or Beauty touched the beast than pages of dragging just so the authors can charge more. I like to invest in an idea, a concept, a good story, not in the length of the book The beginning was so cute, the chemistry off-the charts and the mails and texts were a nice addition. It could have been epic with a different last third of the book.

What do I mean by dragging? There are a lot of pages wasted on a test, and that test was completely unnecessary because the reader knows by that moment the twist of the funeral. And I didn't believe all the drama that came from certain death. Hero was suddenly having doubts about having sex with heroine because he needed to go the funeral of the guy who stole his ex-girlfriend? A guy he hadn't spoken for years? You'd think it was his best friend dying, but no.

The good thing is that the ending is happy, it's not a cliffhanger and overall it's entertaining.

It might look like I hated it, but I didn't. I enjoyed it for the most part and was thoroughly entertained before the filler.

The 2.5 stars are for Graham, he was a sweetheart, so dominant and alpha, but also the authors made a really good job with him. He was dominant and tortured, but the way he was falling completely for the heroine was sweet. It was so cute that he was so close to his gran. Great hero. He deserved best.

I still would recommend this book to anyone looking for a decent-length, stand alone novel with a happy ending and a lot of laughs along the way. It has a lot of good reviews so like in my review of Paper princess I'm minority. You'll like it, specially if you have enjoyed the author's previous books.

Why did it take me so long to read the awesomeness that is Graham Morgan? Even when I wanted to smack him for being such an asshole he kept me captivated and unable to put my Kindle down. Soraya was just the same, and I liked her a lot.

Graham and Soraya were the complete opposite of each other, but that's what kept this story so intriguing. Getting to see the differences these characters had and how the chemistry sizzled between them was amazing. I really enjoyed getting to see Soraya helping Graham settle down from his usual uptight ways, and it just went to show why two opposites attract and are so great together.

My one complaint was the

Overall, I want to kick myself for waiting so long to read this book. Soraya was an amazing character and her quirkiness was the perfect thing to read about next to Graham's business-man ways. If you haven't read this book yet, trust me when I say that you're missing out.

There was a beautiful man underneath that heart of steel.

Oh my heart! It was so cute. So lovely. So beautiful! I don't know if I can ever put into words how wonderful this book was!

This was my first time reading these two authors, and honestly, I really didn’t know what to expect. Many of my GR friends seemed to love this one so I decided to give it a go, plus the cover makes me drool every time I look at it. I went into the book expecting another simple romantic story, instead I came out of this reading experience feeling like I lost my heart somewhere in this book, and I wonder if it will ever come back to me again.

The story started off very funny and sexy that I got hooked instantly, and it kept getting better and better the further I read into it. Then it got hot, burning hot, and then the touching moments happened. Before I could even prepare myself, there was the plot twist I never saw coming! And after that, it brought me so many emotions that I didn’t know how to express them here. OMG, this was so good!

I loved everything about this book! It felt right to me in every way and these two main characters also made my day. Soraya is a kick-ass heroine with her smart mouth and multi-colored hair which the ends of it were dyed a different color every couple of weeks depending on her mood. She’s independent, sassy, daring, and caring. She’s the first one who wasn’t afraid to call Graham out on his crap at all.

Graham, on the other hand, is Soraya’s polar opposite. He’s gorgeous, yet he’s brooding, cranky, and arrogant. BUT those were all Soraya thought he was before she got to know him better and found a sweet side of him. He’s the kind of man who loves with all his heart and the woman he loves could rest assured that his feelings for her would be unwavering. He’s absolutely one of a kind. I loved this guy! Brooding heroes are my thing!

“Because I don’t want to be anywhere but here. If anything were different in my life, I might not be. I don’t understand it, either, Soraya. This. What’s happening between us. I can’t make any promises. I just know I don’t want it to stop.”

“No one knows what’s going to happen from one day to the next, but if the world were to end tomorrow, there’s no place I’d rather be than right here with you. That tells me everything I need to know.”

The conversations between Graham and Soraya sounded natural and spot on, and with the witty banter, I couldn’t help but chuckle. It was sweet seeing her came into his life and made him see a lot of things differently. My heart completely melted when they were there for each other at their weakest moments. There were many times I laughed uncontrollably while reading this. And there were heartbreaking moments that got me a little teary-eyed. The epilogue was so beautiful and it left me feeling like I could fly to the moon without wings. *Sigh*

All in all, this was a wonderful love story with the perfect amount of romance, drama, and laughter. It was a great mixture of everything I want in my romance reads. I finished this book with a massive smile on my face. Highly recommended.

Loved it!

Mr. big prick comes out of the strawberry milk closet!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎧🎧🎧🎧
Romance: 💙💚🖤💛❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙📔
World building: 🌎🌍🌏
Character development: 🧐😕😍😗

The heroine(s): Soraya Venedetta - works for a popular advice columnist as a personal assistant. She has been on more than a few bad dates. Soraya dies the tips of her hair different colors to go with her mood. Her best friends are a tattoo artist and his wife who does the piercing.

The Hero(s): Graham J. Morgan - works in high finance and is very good at it. In the last 8 years he has built a company that ranks up there with some of the best in the business. Since his mother died, he has focused everything on building his business and has used his abrasiveness to push people away.

The Story: Soraya sees Graham the first time on the subway where he sits across from her and reams out a colleague on his cell phone while riding to his stop. Soraya finds his phone after he gets off and has no idea who to return it to, so she goes through the pictures on the phone. She sees pictures that intrigue her and point to the fact that he might not be the jerk who he first appeared to be. However, after calling and texting a few of his contacts she just can’t figure him out.

Soraya goes to Graham’s office to return the phone to him, but he refuses to open his door. She leaves the phone for him, but not until she takes a few sexy pictures to show him what he missed by not opening the door to her. At the end of the day, Graham gets the phone back and once he sees the pictures, he is the one that is intrigued.

I liked the story quite a bit, it was dual point of view with dual narration done by Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell. Though most was told in Soraya’s POV. I love Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell was fine, but there is something about her voice I don’t relate to for some reason. I think I just like a softer voice or something. Though there is nothing wrong with her voice, it is just personal preference I guess.

The chemistry between Graham and Soraya was explosive and the romance was great. Part of Soraya’s job is to sort through the letters and emails her boss gets to give her the ones that would make good columns. Soraya takes it upon herself to answer some of the emails that aren’t chosen with her own brand of advice, which wasn’t sugary sweet and politically correct like her boss’s advice. Her and Graham begin trading emails this way, and I loved it.

Just a few thoughts.. I listened to this all day yesterday while I went about my jobs.. It's a first time I listened to a book and actually I really enjoyed it.. It's narrated in alternate voices just like the book. Graham's voice is Delicious, DEEEEEEPPPP and sexy which is exactly who his character is. And the female was done well too.. I'll definitely do this again.. I cleaned all downstairs, did the washing, cooked our dinner and listened on the way to swimming last night too.. I finished the whole book in a day.. So I loved the hell out of it.. I say the only thing that was a tad off putting was Graham, going fuck fuck, my cock etc that made me giggle.. As when I read it, it's more manly and listening I suppose didn't have the same effect.. But all in all. I really had an awesome day cleaning yesterday Hahahaha this will be happening again. If anyone wants to rec some audibles by all means send them my way LOL

Enjoy xo

STUCK-UP SUIT by Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward is a fabulously quirky romance. It's fun, sexy, sweet, light but not without depth ...a bit of angst and conflict but nothing heavy and dark, which was a total pleasure.

From the first page...............started with a smile on my face and soon moved on to laughing my head off ......
 photo tumblr_inline_n8gsi9uG3u1sznexk_zpsp2exn22s.gif
The 2 main characters, Soraya Venedetta & Graham Morgan were a total delight....engaging and beyond endearing.
Soraya Venedetta (I loved the one scene where Graham's ex bitch girlfriend says...Vendetta?????)....I adored this woman. She just had the right "moves".
“My life was far from Sex and the City. It was more like Sex and the Pity. Or Sex and the Shitty.”
“My boyfriend had been fucked over by Barbie and Ken. And I was more like the Bratz doll rebound.”
She's one of a kind...colours the tips of her hair to suit her moods!!!! She's fun, unique and totally fabulous......another unforgettable scene where she overhears the said ex girlfriend's friends gossiping in the ladies about Graham......does Soraya disappear into the shadows??? Not on your life...
 photo 75cc9641cf281af0b312abaa3b30be64_zpsa9b5yi3u.jpg
A few minutes later, I’d been so preoccupied thinking about what those women were saying that I hadn’t noticed Graham sneak up behind me to plant a kiss on my neck. The gossipers had taken notice, though. Their eyes were practically bugging out of their heads. Their little happily-ever-after fantasy was quickly challenged by Graham’s public display of affection with someone they probably assumed was working the party. I couldn’t help myself when I turned to them and smiled. “Plot twist.”
I just loved watching these two come together....
 photo fdd47b43c97853fef22cc8bfc34d03c6_zpspnf7fjdk.jpg
And Graham Morgan........hell, I loved this guy!!!! What was there not to love????
 photo 18747310._SX540__zpsd6fhou1x.jpg
The interaction and dialogue between the two is out of this world..........
“Give a little, Soraya. It’s a ride home, not a ride on my cock. And I think you know by now that I’m not a serial killer.” - Graham
 photo 12120448_1663436183929794_924289239_n_zpsbkbye1ju.jpg
Oh, another great thing about the story is when Graham writes to the agony column that Soraya works on........
Dear Ida,
This is the former Celibate in Manhattan. You might also remember me as Stuck-up Suit. I thought it would be polite to provide you with an update to my situation, seeing as though you've been so helpful thus far. The good news: I'm happy to say that I'm no longer celibate."-Graham
....some of the messages were incredibly funny.......one of the letters that Soraya received from one of the readers had me rolling on the floor...
“Dear Ida,
My boyfriend recently asked me to marry him. I said yes. He’s the sweetest, kindest man I’ve ever known. Problem is, the diamond he gave me was smaller than I hoped for. I don’t really want to hurt his feelings. I need to know a polite way to express my disappointment. –Lori, Manhattan God has the same dilemma when it comes to you, sweetheart. P.S. When your fiancé dumps your selfish ass, give him my number. Answering”
So, if I loved this book so much, why only the 4stars?

Well, up to about 70%, I absolutely loved it....laughed my head off...but the last 30% fell a bit flat....the whole issue of Graham and his ex bitch girlfriend, Genevieve became a bit too cliche and repetitive.

However, I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves romance...and lots of laughs!!!

::: FULL REVIEW NOW POSTED :::

“Gorgeous, arrogant, and pissed off?”
I chuckled a little. “Yeah, that’s him.”

What an awesome book!! I read it in one sitting because I could NOT put it down even for a minute!! It was exactly the kind of book I was looking for. The story started off as sexy, sassy, and swoony with an intriguing story and great banter. Then it turned hot and heart-warming, right before a huge twist that brought all the angst and feels!! It was the perfect blend of everything I could hope for in an addictive romance! I loved it!

Here, let me show you the blurb because it was what sold me on the book...

Isn't that enticing?? I just had to read it!

The hero and heroine were poplar opposites. You might not think of them as a perfect match but in truth, they complimented each other perfectly. Soraya was exactly the kind of girl I feel like I could easily be best friends with. She was sassy and feisty with all kinds of attitude. She was bold, daring, hot tempered, and had no problems calling Graham out on anything at all. Contrary to her, Graham was quite the "stuck-up suit" at first. Despite how gorgeous he was, he certainly came off as closed off and arrogant before she really got to know him, but my gosh did he ever have the sweetest side once he began to open up to her. Seriously, that whole hair dye thing made me swoooooon!! And more than anything, I loved that together they were quite open and honest with each other. Naturally they both had their share of baggage and issues to work through but there was absolutely no doubt that they not only were good together, but they were really trying to make things work. I genuinely LOVED their romance.
“I love how honest you always are with me about your thoughts and feelings.” She leaned in and gripped my wool sweater… “In fact, I prefer blunt honesty to anything else. I always want you to tell me the truth, even when you’re afraid it might offend me. I don’t think you understand how much I need the truth.”

Then came the twist!!! And I loved this twist because it was something external to their relationship which affected them both. This is actually my favorite source of 'drama' in books -- where it's not a problem between the main couple, but rather something that happens essentially to them instead of something one of them does to the other. And this particular twist was regarding something I really love in romance and the whole way they both handled it was just so wonderful even though it kept my heart racing and my eyes glued to the page.

Gah!! This book was really awesome! So many scenes literally made me laugh out loud and I have countless fun quotes highlighted in my book. Here's a random example of one of their phone calls...
“What will you be doing all day?”
“Assisting [with piercings]. I swab the area before she pierces and hold hands with the chickens.”
I wasn’t sure I wanted to know the answer, but I asked anyways. “What will you be swabbing?”
“The usual. Ears, noses, belly buttons, tongues, nipples, a penis or two.
“Come again?”
“It’s clinical.”
“Yes, that makes me feel better about you swabbing a man’s cock…”
“Relax. It’s no big deal.”
“Yes. You’re right.”
“I am?”
“Sure.” I partially cover the phone and yelled to my secretary, who wasn’t in today. “Elizabeth? Can you come in here a minute?”
“Elizabeth? Isn’t that your new secretary?”
“Yes. I’m going to wash her tits.”
Soraya chuckled. The woman damn laughed at me. Again.
“What’s so funny?”
“I’ve seen firsthand the way you treat your secretaries. Pretty sure she wouldn’t let you wash her feet, much less her tits.”
Sadly, she was probably right.

Oh and it was HOT too!! If you're looking for something sexy, this'll deliver! Starting from the flirty texts and banter in the beginning, straight through to the steamy bedroom scenes later, this book definitely had heat!!
“Let me tell you something, Soraya. I may not be the nicest guy on the planet or even the best fit for you. In fact, I know I’m not. But you can’t deny what’s going on between us. There’s only one way to end this.”
“And what’s that?”
“Me buried deep inside of you.”

It's told in first person from dual perspectives giving us both sides of the story. It's also a standalone romance so you get the full story in one sitting. No cheating, no triangle, and a great epilogue!

Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward are two of the very best authors in contemporary romance right now. Both have already released books I loved this year that are sitting on my list of Best Books of 2016 (The Baller by Vi Keeland and RoomHate by Penelope Ward) so when I saw that this book was written by both of them together, I absolutely couldn't resist diving right in and I highly recommend you do the same! This is definitely a new top favorite!
He brought my hand to his mouth and kissed it. "No one knows what's going to happen from one day to the next, but if the world were to end tomorrow, there's no place I'd rather be than right here with you. That tells me everything I need to know."

Rating: 4.5 stars!! Standalone Adult Romance.

Cute story. It flew by and I enjoyed the dynamics between the hero and heroine. The blurb made me think they'd have more of a text courtship before meeting, but that happened pretty quickly. A few unpredictable moments kept this story rolling forward, I would recommend it to anyone who likes contemporary romance.

5 stars – Contemporary Romance

I adored the H/h and their dazzlingly witty, sexy banter and snarky, steamy interactions, and the first 45-50% or so of the book was absolutely fantastic. Then it took a seriously twisty turn that I didn’t like when the hero finds out his nearly took over and derailed the story and the romance, but luckily things got back on track.

I just loved the H/h together, and their playful Dear Ida advice column exchanges were particularly delightful and utter perfection and really made the book standout for me. The ending was sweet, fabulous, and hilarious and left a big, fat satisfied smile on my face. So overall, this was a very enjoyable read!

I love this collaboration and for me it will never get old to read this books, even if they write about relationships between aliens and mythical creatures!!! I'm sure Penelope and Vi could write a hot and steamy love story even with this type of characters:)))

I enjoyed this book, but it wasn't my favorite..it was funny and kinky in all the right places, but it didn't have something to just blow me away as I anticipated. I got the hot story, the chemistry and the smart dialogues that I'm used to, but their trademark was not so persistent in this book.
The story had a certain soup opera flow, with instant chemistry, push and pull, give in to the feelings, the surprise, the ex girlfriend etc..

It had the element of surprise, but it was predictable to figure out what will happen next, it wasn't something OMG, NO WAY!! That is what I expect from this amazing couple, because they are surely able to pull this off without any doubt.

Graham and Soraya were enjoyable, funny and perfect for each other, but in some terms and limits. Their chemistry was intense, but that was about all...
I cannot compare the couple from the previous books without finding some differences, unfortunately not in this ones favor.

The thing that I really liked was not the part 1 and part 2 split of the book. When I see the table of contents and find those 2 parts, a small part of me dies, because I know what will be in stored for me: happiness, them great sadness, them happiness but after a lot of pages:D

Don't get me wrong, it was a pleasant read, but I wanted something from this couple to give me a book hangover, to blow me away as Cocky Bastard did:(

Only 4 stars....

I love these two authors..whether they write separate, together or a grocery list. I will read it. But the way they work together is a cause for celebration. It's the best of both worlds...so to speak. :)

I could not put this book down once I started it. I flew through this one. LOVED the banter, texts, columns, phone calls and in person conversations these two engaged in. Bantering between characters is the easiest way for me to connect with them..when done right it makes a story for me and this one was done perfectly! Makes the connection quick and solid. Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward were made to write with each other, being super fans of both of these authors I seriously can not tell which one writes what and where one starts and one ends...it's flawless. I am anxiously awaiting the next installment of these chance meetings

3.5/4 This book was so damn sweet!

I admit, normally, these really cheesy books with the perfect people and the ideal love don't get to me (what can I say, I'm pretty cynical). But this one had something. I have no idea what, everything was pretty typical, but it was really entertaining! Well, the writing was way better than I expected... that's probably the secret to great books: no matter how good/bad they are, if the writing sucks, so will the book.

By the end of it, I was pretty much jumping with joy and rooting for the characters (which rarely happens, so yay!).

It's not a very special book (you'll probably find the same idea in a lot of reads out there) but the writing is special and the characters are so much fun. It's the main reason I gave this book 4 stars: I laughed out loud a few times. So, if you're in a meh mood and want something to lift your spirits up, this is the thing that might help.

Soraya Venedetta is an Italian woman living in Brooklyn. She works as an assistant for a daily column called Ask Ida. While on the train to work one morning she has a chance encounter with a gorgeous stuck up suit. This man looks like a Greek God, & is sitting across the aisle from Soraya. She knows they are complete opposites, but she still can't take her eyes off of him. With one glance she can tell he oozes success, wealth & arrogance, but wow is he hot!

 photo 5C6C27DB-1FAC-4064-ADFE-288C133199A5_zps90uptsju.jpg

When he exists the train this mystery man accidentally drops his phone. Soraya picks it up with plans to return it, but decides to snoop through it first. She finds out this powerful beautiful man's name is Graham Morgan & he owns Morgan Financial Holdings. When Soraya finally goes to the trouble of tracking down Graham's office to return his phone, the cocky prick won't even bother to see her. She takes a few sassy selfies of her best assets on his phone & then leaves it behind along with a few choice words yelled outside the door on her way out.

 photo ce524553-6168-4181-b356-c5a9671ef388_zpsxogah2az.jpg

Suddenly Soraya gets a response from the hottie with the king complex. Seems she's definitely got his attention. He starts sending her sexy texts & it gets quite steamy. Graham continues to pursue Soraya till she finally agrees to go out with him. He can't get enough of her feisty attitude & finds her absolutely stunning. She is the first woman who calls it like it is, & doesn't just fall at his feet. He's intrigued by her, & likes how genuine & real she is.

As the couple spends time together they have to overcome their differences. They come from totally different worlds, but soon realize they are both crazy about each other. Soraya soon gets to know the real Graham & learns he's beautiful both inside & out. His past has hardened him over the years & caused him to put his career first. Being with Soraya shows Graham what it's like to be truly happy again. She brings him out of his shell & helps him to live again & shows him he's capable of so much love. I loved this book so much & this man totally stole my heart! This was such a fun flirty read! I highly recommend it! :D

I love Vi Keeland. I loved The Throb and The Baller and also I loved Cocky Bastard which had the co-author Penelope Ward just as in this one. Thus, I was really excited and looking forward to this book with great anticipation. And it didn’t disappoint me. I loved it. It made me laugh, it made me swoon. Although there was an annoying plot twist, everything turned out the way it was supposed to be in the end...

Stuck-up Suit is the story of Graham Morgan (aka Stuck-Up Suit, Mr. Big Prick, Celibate in Manhattan, Fucked in Manhattan, Fifty Shades of Morgan and Poopface in Manhattan) and the beautiful, sexy, sassy and witty Italian Soroya Venedetta, with an “e” in the middle :)

I laughed out loud all along the book; the banter between the two was hilarious. It all started with texting. They were on the same train and he left his phone and got off the train. She took it and ... well, she didn't return it immediately, but kept it for a while before giving it to him. Although she thought that he was an arrogant asshole, she was greatly attracted to this “illegally good-looking guy in a suit”. She wanted to look at the photos in the phone, catch a glimpse of his life etc before handing him the phone.

Soroya is an assistant in an advice column called Dear Ida. Graham is a very rich guy who owns a huge business. They are from worlds apart, maybe not a perfect match for each other, but you know the saying, opposites attract each other...

Well, back to the story... A few days later, she goes to his company to hand him his phone back, but he refuses to see her. She gets angry and talks to him in a very daring attitude on the intercom and takes the pictures of her tits, legs and ass, sends them to his phone saving her name as “You’re Welcome Asshole”... She also types, “Your mother should be ashamed of you.”... And leaves...

Graham is not only affected by her message about his mother and the way she talked to him on the intercom but also the sexy pictures of her on his phone. The problem is the pictures do not have a face and he really wonders how she looks like. He spends his days fantasizing her!

Thus starts texting, which soon turns into sexting and I cannot tell you how much fun they are. They are hot, dirty, witty and hilarious. The texting is not only mobile phone messages but also "Dear Ida" messages!

“Dear Ida,
There’s this woman I can’t seem to get out of my mind. She texted me pictures of her tits, legs, and ass, but won’t let me see her in person. The only reason I can think of is that she’s really ugly and afraid to show me her face. How can I get her to agree to see me and to understand that not all men are as shallow as she seems to think? –Stuck-Up Suit, Manhattan”

“Dear Stuck-Up Suit,
It’s quite possible you are drawing the wrong conclusion. There is no evidence to suggest that this woman is ugly. Perhaps, she is just not that into you. You may also want to look in the mirror and consider the fact that an ugly personality is a far greater deterrent than an ugly face ever could be.”

And when they finally meet, the sexual chemistry between them is off the charts! It is insta-lust and insta-love ! Their relationship is heart-warming and hot and fun at the same time.

Soon, the arrogant Stuck-up Suit Morgan turns out to be an ideal lover, not so stuck-up at all. (The Cocky Bastard was not that cocky at all, remember?)

Well, everything was so good, even too good to be true up until the plot twist. I must admit I hated the plot twist at the beginning and I was yelling, “Oh no, oh no, not this plot twist again!” but the way the hero and the heroine handled the drama made me feel better gradually. I accepted the situation as they acted in the best and the most ideal way possible...

But, then again a few minor twists and boom, the heroine disappointed me a lot! I tried to understand her, tried to be at peace with her decision and action but I couldn’t until she regretted what she had done and accepted her stupidity. . This problem is again solved in the cutest way possible so I was back to my happy mood again.

One of the best scenes in the book was when our guy Graham Morgan met Chance Bateman from "Cocky Bastard"!!! Chance was walking the goat :) Aha ha ha, that was fun to see him again, advising Graham about relationships! I loved the merging of two novels (by the same writers) for a brief period... That was a nice surprise :))

For me, this book has the best texting/sexting in the history of texting ever! Both the telephone texts and Dear Ida column messages were the highlights of the book and there is an abundance of them all through the book, not just at the beginning.

The book is told by dual point of view so it was nice to be in the heads of both characters. The story had everything I loved. There was humor and fun. There was high steam! And there was romance.

As soon as I started reading, I mean on page 1, I was completely hooked and couldn’t drop it until I finished it. I was completely addicted to both the story and the characters. The sad thing is now I am ruined for the next books and I totally need a very good one for follow-up because even the day after I finished it, I am still smiling thinking of them and still swooning for Graham :)

I had a hard time rating this book, going between 4 or 5 points... I tend to take 1 point off for the cliché plot twist but then I want to give it full stars for all the fun I had and the ever lasting smile on my face whenever I think about this book. Let me say that the plot twists annoyed the hell out of me but I still adored the book, hence my 5 points :)

Overall Opinion: This was a super cute book that had me laughing out loud a few times. I loved their witty banter, and the H was pretty darn sweet. It wasn't what I thought it'd be, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I was expecting the drama, so it didn't come as a shock to me when I got to it. This is the exact reason why I love spoilers!! I might've had a totally different experience had I not been prepared for that twist. This was a hot, sweet book that wasn't horribly angsty or even deep, but I liked it all the same :)

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Soraya and Graham's story. Soraya sees a hot man on the train barking orders in his phone one day, and is shocked to see that he dropped his phone on the way out. After she's done with her snooping, she attempts to return it. He is a jerk and refuses to see her, so she drops it off but not without some choice pictures left behind. They start a texting relationship and eventually start dating. They fall in love, but there are some big obstacles that they have to cross to be together. They do get a HEA ending.

POV: This alternated between Soraya and Graham's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Ok until the end (see closure section). It flowed well, and I never skimmed.

Instalove: Kind of. It wasn't the kind that irritates me, but it was pretty quick.

H rating: 5 stars. Graham. I really liked him. He was moody and grumpy, but underneath it all he was a mushy sweet man. I loved how he was all about the h and became possessive (in the good way IMO) right away with her.

h rating: 4 stars. Soraya. I really liked her wit, and how she put the H in his place when he was being a jerk. I only marked her down because of her martyr-like behavior towards the end. I did love that she made him wait before jumping into bed with him (not too long -- but she did make him wait ;D).

Sadness level: Low. No tissues needed.

Heat level: Moderate. They have some hot tension, chemistry, and scenes.

Descriptive sex: Yes

Safe sex: Yes and no. The h is on birth control, and they discuss std status. No mention of previous practices that I remember.

OW/OM drama: Yes

Sex scene with OW or OM: No

Cheating: No

Possible Triggers: Yes

Closure: This had another ending with the conflict being resolved and then BAM a HEA in the epilogue. I hate that! I want some time between the resolution and the HEA with the couple being happy and even working everything out!!

How I got it: I paid the $3.99 on Amazon.

Safety: Safe with exception

This book has been idling about on my Kindle for a few months now, but for some reason, I only decided to read this book today. I've read so many good things about this, and I was afraid I would get disappointed.

I don't know how I really feel about this book. Gah. I liked it, but I wasn't crazy about it.

Soraya Venedetta, a young, feisty woman working for an advice columnist, was just going about her usual day riding the train to work when she spots an Adonis-like man who was busy snarking on someone over the phone. The man, who looked like the world was against him, soon went down on his stop, but in his rush to leave, he ended up dropping his phone. Soraya picked it up and made a mental note to bring it back to Mr. Big Prick. After a little snooping on the phone, she discovered the man's identity—Graham Morgan, a big shot business man.

When she finally dropped by his office to give back the phone, Graham wouldn't even meet her, arrogant little shit that he is.

There's nothing you could possibly have that I'm looking for, that would make opening door and having to deal with you worth it. Now please leave this floor, or I'll have security escort you out."

Oh how you're going to eat your words, Graham. Soraya leaves the office pissed off, but before she gives the receptionist Graham's phone, she programs her number into his phone, naming herself "You're Welcome Asshole". She then sends him three photos—one of her cleavage, one of her legs, and one of her ass. A parting gift, if you will.

This intrigues forever-horny Graham, and thus follows a funny and sexy text interaction between the two.

Soraya: I have my limit, and showing you between my legs is definitely a hard limit.

Graham: And there is definitely no limit as to how HARD that would make me. In fact, just imagining it is giving me a hard on right now.

The first half of the book was promising. It was light and fun, and the sort-of sexting was hot. But the second half went downhill for me. Baby-gate, family drama, cheating, pretend cheating? Really? Really?

Soraya lost her bravado. She lost the 'I'm a bad-ass woman and you know it' image as the story went along. I mean, I get it that she's fighting her demons and all, but I don't know. It's like the conflict ate up all of her sass. And I hated what she did in the second half .

There were funny parts and cute scenes that made me adore Graham, but the dramatics was just too much for me. I have to say though, the sex was hot. Haha So yes, I'd still recommend this to my smut-loving friends.
